I am bored so in a while I'll show you a picture of my Japanese (and Chinese/English) handwriting. Though I made a mistake writing 館 so there's a scribble there when you see it =_=

Trance - Your English writing looks beautiful. Can't really comment on the Chinese and kanji, but the kana look fairly clean and legible too. Nicer than mine anyway.

Maxine - My longhand writing is terrible too. 'i's disappear or get lost among the crowd of 'n's and 'm's (with the dots ending up somewhere they don't really belong). I've never been able to reproduce the exact same signature twice actually. Loose letters are a lot better, although the 9 and g, and 1 and I are the same then.

My handwriting is awful, as you can see . Stupid handwriting meme on LJ a while ago.

Well, actually it was yesterday, but today I'm happy too.
The reason why:

Yesterday the mailman dunked Chrono Trigger DS in the mailbox.

I just couldn't stop playing.

The text is very hard to read in the 'Classic' mode. The new 'DS' mode to play the game works very good though.

For those like myself who are used to the original, it might take a while to get used to the re-translation. A lot of items and some techs have been renamed too match their original japanese names better.
The best improvement, in my opinion, is that they removed Frog's faulty 'Shakespearean' accent.

Oooh, I'm going to enjoy this weekend.

Yeah, Myst DS was a real let-down.

As for CT, do keep in mind that it's a re-translation, ok?
And you really need good eyes for the 'classic' mode. Either that, or a magnifier. 'DS' mode works perfecly though, so that shouldn't be a problem.
Other than that it's still like the Playstation port with a few extras (arena which I still need to try out, and new dungeon which I still have to reach), but without the loading times*

The movies do stutter ever so slightly, but that might be my DS, can't try it on my mother's DS anymore, that one went to gamers heaven. (Bad Kitty, no more throwing other peoples stuff from the table!!!).
She doesn't know it yet, but she'll have a new one for Christmas

I do wonder about the difference between the english of the Japanese version (it should be selectable, but I have an American import, so I don't know) and that of the American one.

*I've heard a lot of people complaining about this with the playstation version, but I started playing it on the PS2, and didn't really notice, so... Anyways, that's not something to worry about with the DS version.
