So, playing ME3 MP today. Started off with my Battlemaster, as I usually do when I need credits, because people seem to appreciate my tanking and not dying.
Anyway, unlocked krogan soldier, N7 Destroyer, and a bunch of weapon-stuff. So I've been levelling soldiers all day. My old turian is now Rambo. So much dakka. So much.
The Destroyer himself is what you'd expect from a mecha. A gun-master, pehaps more than even the turian. Wipes things out with Valiant-sniper and Piranha-riotshotgun. Massive shields. Can't dodge-roll or anything, but ducks and vaults with cover just fine. Also runs in a straight line without difficulty. Has a heavy stomp-attack. It's great. Shakes the ground; stuns everything.
Overall, extremely consistent. It does basic things, like shooting, but does them better, and without much setup required.
Oh, the Piranha is the best thing I got that wasn't a character. Especially with all the Destroyer-bonuses to ammo and fire-rate, of course.
Ten rounds, many pellets, decent accuracy, massive damage up close. If you spam it, most things will die. Even crowds of things. Well, hence the "riot".

Spent all day playing GW2. Yep, think I'll end up getting it anyway.

^ What's good about it?
Rapid-fire sniper-rifle is fun.

Will it run on Linux?
If it doesn't, can y'all recommend some MMORPG that does run on Linux? Not Dofus, because I already played that twice a few years ago, and don't particularly like the changes they made/didn't make since then.

Thanks to the Steam Summer Sale I've been playing GTA 3, Plants Vs Zombies, Braid, and I plan to buy Audiosurf before the day is through. Whooo

Lately I have had some bad luck with games.
After finishing Lux-Pain (DS) (which has quite an interesting story/setting btw), I went for ClaDun (PSP). That turned out to be rather boring as it doesn't have a story, only blocky faux-retro art and simple dungeons. Simple as in a boring layout that is. Once they get harder to get through, you either have to grind, which is boring in such dungeons (insofar as grinding is always somewhat boring of course), or micro-manage the Magic Circle thingy to make the most of your support characters. After a while I just gave up, because why bother if there isn't anything to look forward to/make the tedium worth it?
Then I switched to Lufia: Curse Of The Sinistrals (DS). Somehow I got it confuzzled with the Lufia game I once played on a SNES emulator, which was a FF style RPG. This one is an action RPG. Well, that's okay. Except it's more like a puzzle/action RPG (think Legend Of Link). That's still okayish, if it isn't a platformy-jumpy race against time fest. Then the second dungeon had one of those argh super annoying Unexpected Game Change things in it. To a rhythm mini game with a mine cart. You have to do the whole sequence perfectly at once because if you fail, you have to start from the beginning. Since I keep missing at the first or second or third part of the sequence, it is very frustrating. So frustrating that after numerous tries, I just gave up on the whole game. It isn't so good that it's worth that kind of torture.
So now I'm playing Ys III: Oath In Felghana (PSP), and it is a pretty good game finally. The graphics remind me of Trails In The Sky, which isn't surprising because they're both made by Falcom. The story is all about Adol saving everyone, as expected from an Ys game, which I rather dislike, but tolerate for the sake of good gameplay and awesome music (Yūzō Koshiro

). The platforming isn't too bad so far. I'm about to enter the second dungeon.

Is that so? lists him as composer. I selected the PC88 FM BGM version anyway.
As for Ys being all about Adol, yes, that's why I wrote "as expected". I'd still like to see a more gender-balanced world though (as Trails In The Sky has), and an option to play as someone other than Adol (which I think Ys 7 or so has?).
I'm in dungeon 2.5 now, and it's still playable. I was afraid it would be super platformy with difficult timed jumps, but so far it only took me three tries to get onto one platform.

To be honest, I'm still more excited for Mechwarrior: Online than I am Guild Wars 2. I'm just in the mood for an MMORPG again, and no sub fees is a huge plus.
