Mario Kart Wii is OK, it's got some solid ideas such as having the bikes in them, and when playing with the Wii Remote you can make the karts do some tricks... however, it's just the same as all Mario Karts really.
Animal Crossing is, well, Animal Crossing really. It's basically the as the DS and Gamecube version with a few little extras.

Currently
Dragon Quest IV (DS)
Metroid Prime Hunters (DS)
I also recieved Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC) ,Star Ocean: First Departure(PSP) and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (DS) for X-Mas but i havent touched them yet.
I got my girlfriend a Wii and a few games. One of them was Boroque. Is this game very good? i played it for like 5 minutes when we were checking them out and i wasnt too impressed. I got her Dragon Quest Swords and it seems like it will be pretty good but with all my new games i dont have time to play her wii (let alone getting her off of it long enough for me to play

Agh, Baroque really does have an insane difficulty curve, to the point where you don't know what's going on.
The main problem, or positive depending on your outlook, is that you're just dumped in the game. Where you start, well, you're not even facing the direction you need to go in and the NPCs don't give you any clues at all. I've spent many, many hours on the game. Love it, but it's a bitch.

Yeah, forging/craft/cooking skills aren't open until the 2nd gen. I plan on leaving my child a fully stocked pantry and fridge so that she can make like crazy the second it becomes an option.
Don't marry Dorothy yet! Although I'll give you a mini spoiler beneath this cut:
SEMI ACTUAL SPOILERISH
I read that the 2nd gen won't start until after you build and complete the school, so there's no real reason why you can't marry her, except I suppose the lack of completing the other girls' tasks.
BACK TO NORMAL
I only played for a few more gametime hours last night -- I kept falling asleep and wasting time, so I just turned it off instead. I'm still pretty busy moving (although I broke down and hooked up my old computer.. *hugs*
I watched my fiance play Mario Galaxy. He made fun of it the entire time.. -___- He hates the Wii so much. Silly fiance... *pets the Wii* shhh.. don't listen to the mean man..

I think the main issue is that we have wildly different tastes in games. To me, the Wii and the DS are perfect because they have all the games I like to play, whereas he likes the more mainstream blockbuster stuff (Oblivion, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Fallout 3, GTA IV). Those games, to me, are pretty boring. Something like Rune Factory, Katamari Damacy or Etrian Odyssey, though, I'm all over.

Looks like I'm a hybrid gamer:
(examples of)
Likes:
* Elder Scrolls series (Morrowind, Oblivion, etc.)
- I'll even include the Fallout series
* GTA (Although, Vice City, San Andreas, and IV were... meh)
* Everything made by Nippon Ichi
* Everything made by Sora and HAL Laboratory
* Most Megaman/Rockman Games
* Most games developed by Atlus
* Mass Effect
* Fighting games (Street Fighter, Tekken, Soul Edge, etc.)
* 2D Side-Scrolling Beat-em-ups (Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, Battletoads, etc.)
* Shmups (Gradius, Touhou, Thunder Force, R-Type, etc.)
* Most games with meaningless gratuitous violence
Dislikes:
* Bioshock (overrated)
* God of War
* Most of the Final Fantasy Series
* 80% of First Person Shooters
* Sports games (except "World Cup Soccer" for the NES/GB)
* Any game developed by EA in the last 5-7 years
* Tom Clancy's [Insert book title here]
* Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and any other half-assed American rhythm I may have forgotten

I just like games that either provide warm comfort (in the form of cuteness or good writing) or something that gets my brain running. Not a fan of action, anything involving twitch-reflexes or games that just feel so cold and heartless. I'm one of those rare breeds that hold good writing and presentation over good gameplay, though that doesn't stop me from enjoying jewels like Custom Robo with poor story. Very softcore. My tastes naturally keep me on the opposite end of the mainstream. The closest I come is with Legend of Zelda, though even then most of what I've played from that series I didn't pay for to begin with.
PC games is kind of a drifted topic but I always need an MMORPG available to me in my life as a nice escape and a chance to team up with people. Because of that I'll be playing something good like Ragnarok Online (or any Korean MMO) and World of WarCraft. There's nothing quite like multiplayer gaming. Over the Internet isn't nearly as good as local play but not everyone has the time to get together as much as I'd like to.
