80 million weapons -> few cosmetic differences and a meaningless elemental system that bogs the play experience down more than it enhances it

All said and done, Borderlands 2 was good value for its price, though it could be so much more. Why not have weapons that actually play differently, like a bow and arrow, or a boomerang, or a gun that fires discs which slice enemies in half? Feels like they needed a "Special" weapon category for things that are actually fun and original.

Yeah I have read through all of the unique weapons and tried most of them myself, but they all still feel like another boring rifle. What is worse is the fact that after you figure out your build, you generally get a brand and model you prefer. I ended up using the same Maliwan SMG with slight visual progression for thirty levels. :/

As long as you can get a 2-shot revolver in it, I'll be happy. Man I loved that gun. Best Tediore weapon ever. (I have BL1 but not BL2.)

Tediore weapons explode on reload now. Also usually the really powerful weapons consume additional ammunition instead of having 2 shot magazines. Maliwan pistols have to deal with that a lot.

I am partial to Vladof and Maliwan weapons myself, sometimes Jakobs depending on the kind of character I'm playing.

It's possible to play Gaige hilariously simple by not bothering to aim or reload.

Tediore rocket launchers are my favorite, when they run out of ammo, you just slap the side of them and they fly away.

The only reason I don't like using Tediores is because I reload compulsively, so I waste a ton of ammo when I use them, I still love throwing my gun at people, though.

I hate bandit weapons, though, they reload painfully slow.

They are good for rushdowns and rocket launchers, though, since your intent is to burst something down before having to worry about reloading. :b Other than that, perhaps with a Salvador build, you can offset the reload times enough to make them worth it. If I played multiplayer I might have given him a try.
