I am trying my hardest to understand League of Legends.

My dearest friend loves the game quite a bit. Watches all the big matches, plays it every day. I want to be able to understand what she is talking about, and watch it with her. But, you know, I never really liked the original DOTA, so of course I could not get into the MOBA genre. It is not like fighting games, shooters or StarCraft, where what you see tells the story. I have never played StarCraft (though I played WarCraft III), but almost everything seen is easy to understand. Only a few instances where I have had to look something up (like what exactly Guardian Shield does), but aside from that it is easy to tell what is going on. I hate games that are like "+5% DEFENCE AGAINST FIRE AND INCREASES THE DAMAGE OF ALL FROZEN MEAT PRODUCTS AGAINST THE TARGET BY 9.25%". People will call it "depth", I call it trying to exhaust every single possibility because you can. Throw in some animations that actually have zero depth in hit detection and ship!

In any event I will continue to learn bit by bit, though I will only watch it between other programming. ¬ ¬

I understand JSR, but how does L4D make your left hand sore?

I lie on my bed with my back against the headrest, which puts my wrist in a weird position to hit the "wasd" keys for both games. It's comfy otherwise, but my wrist gets sore.

Not great with champion names, but so far I can pick out the most used ones by image and have a good idea of what they do. Also, I know of the teams that play (mostly because my companion talks about them alllllllll the time, or else I would be lost), so that's a start. Being able to identify a champion's name, role and abilities earns a hug, which is always nice!

I do not think I will ever learn the items, though.

Redoing my elementalist's armor, following a different guide. Or just following a simple piece of advice: make your entire armor set simple power and survivability. That set is dungeon only. Looking at the numbers, I'll be doing this:



Still doing full CoF for my necro, but she'll be on the back burner for now, hanging out in Whispers armor (which despite tail clipping, looks fantastic).

Back to ME2. Most efficient Sentinel-tactic is still to run up and elbow everything in the nose repeatedly.

Is it just me, or is my Norn moving a lot slower than my human character?

Got Code of Princess...now only like 1 or 2 more games i'm very interested in getting for before the end of the year. Lame thing is that i wanted to get Zero Escape first but...there's no store anywhere near me that has a copy of the game :L (once again showing that i should pre-order things more often). Guess i'll look for a copy online or something
