Haha, I just posted a facebook status about growing up...

Specifically that I'd do it after Lego Marvel Superheroes comes out.

So, I got back into playing Dark Souls again and this playthrough is a lot better. Granted, I am incredibly pissed off at what happened with the Stray Demon twice in a row. I land and it immedietly smashes me and kills me. I go back, my stuff is right in front of me--guess what happens. =_=

I also feel like it's time to retire the old Drake Sword for the Black Knight Sword I picked up. I have enough Twinkling Titanite to upgrade it to +4, right now. I'm probably going to take advantage of the crow's nest outside the Asylum to get more.

So, what armor would you guys recommend that would keep me from fat rolling without needing both Havel's Ring? Right now, I'm wearing it, because Lauteric's ring isn't enough to keep me from doing it. XP I'm considering opting out for the Black Leather set I picked up, but I lose a lot of poise. I heard there was a ring that gave +40 to poise. Would that work? XD



I am getting irritated with the drop rate. I had 10 humanity and both Black Knights in the Undead Asylum didn't drop their shield. I got another sword with Red Titanite and the other just dropped Red Titanite. So, losing 10 humanity to the Stray Demon, because it got me as soon as I dropped down...

PvE. And I have Elite Knight set, but I'd need Havel's Ring to roll effectively. As for avoiding spoilers. I got decently far in it, before I rage quit. I got far enough to know what Lauteric would do. So, I nipped that problem in the bud.

I might just end up going in with Ornstein's Armor, because I like how it looks (what got me playing Dark Souls in the first place.).

Choosing the set that you like the look of is definitely the way to go. Ornstein's set is about the same weight as the elite knight's I think.

I'm working around the fire keeper's death, it isn't too much hassle and I got an extra estus flask upgrade when I recovered her soul. Interesting to know you can prevent that whole event from happening... I'm going with a 'don't kill anyone who doesn't try and kill me' approach for my first play through, it seems only right to me.

I'm playing more like the character's namesake. When Lauteric said, "I'll give you your reward... later..." I just hit him. "I WANT IT NOW!"

Did anyone play Tiny & Big?

This Skyrim-character set out into the world a healer. And I had a wide-eyed attitude about the whole squishy mage-thing. Hiding behind armoured protectors, from the scary things that hit hard.

But I read all those books, see?
Books about stars, books about astrology, books about aligned monuments; reading of geography, of geology, of alchemy, of metallurgy, smithing, forges. Forges.
Books about magic. Oblivion, enchantments, spirits, rituals, professional expertise, practitioners, and necromancy. Books of magic.
Dwemer. Their history. Their politics. Their ruined cities.
Their technology.
Deep down. High up. Fire under water. Water in the fire. Embers. Steam.

Research finds tools, knowledge; materials. I constructed something.
Eons of engineering and scholarship, in the hands of one book-thief.
Something new on the brow of a fresh tinkerer.
Behind one master, a horde of undead.
In a wandering necropolis, one healer banishing death. Sort of.

Killed Stray Demon and had some jolly cooperation with another player (and to kill Queelag) and Mildred the Maneater. Get to Sen's Fortress, summon another plaer, who is promptly killed by the snake men, at the entrance. I get in, deal with the snake-men around the pendulums and then drop down and nearly die killing the snake-men under them. Then I drop down and before I could even begin to plan how to deal with the golems in the goop I landed in, an invader drops down and kills me.

So, I repeat the process and eventually get more efficient at killing the snake-men. Unfortunately, those Golems are proving to be a big pain in the ass. I got 2 of the 4 I've seen killed. Unfortunately, the two in this one room keep killing me. The moment I get an opening, I accidentally aggro the other one and get lightning'd to death.

Let's see... you cross the pendulums, get to the end, turn left, left, left, kill the mage and cross more pendulums, enter a small room with a pressure plate trap and an onwards route on the rear right. Go straight on 'til you reach the rolling boulder trap.

Wow, Dark Souls' architecture really does ingrain itself on your memory!
