I love Mia's character, but she truly is abysmal in Path of Radiance. In cases like this, normally even if I like the character, I wouldn't use them with the other options that are available... but this file is going directly to Radiant Dawn, so it is always worth it in the end. ^~^

is a fun action-RPG/hack&slash game. It has several shortcomings though. One is that the archer class (Hunter) is severely underpowered. The lowest ATK and DEF, you have to shoot from rather short range to even get half decent damage, and the game's many traps (area-locked battles) force you in melee range anyway. Another is common to Monster Hunter style games: without a leveling system, you depend solely on equipment/cards to survive. And because equipment/cards are rare random drops, you have to repeat the same missions over and over and over and over again until finally something comes along (maybe) that gives you a better chance in the next show-stopping boss battle. A third would be that there are only a few different maps which are reused for all missions. They look pretty, but with the endless repetition they get boring quickly. And finally all but a few of the costumes are super stripperiffic.

Archers are extremely useful in a party with the right cards.

Also, the initial Archer and legacy Ragnarok Online costumes look great.




Admittedly, I didn't like too many of the new class redesigns.

Yes yes, everyone can be useful with the right cards. It's just that "the right cards" means post-game, and grinding for rare drops till the cows come home. That doesn't mean poo for someone who is still playing the storyline (chapter 3 now with Cleric) and doesn't want to wait for the cows.

I have a few cards that significantly increase the drop rate of cards both on the field as drops, and after the mission as bonus items.


With them on, I get at least 2 cards, often more than 5 per quest.

You can beat the story of the game with just the cards you're guaranteed to get and with no item leveling at all.

Zeta - Lucky you. I have no such cards and get maybe one or two trash cards in five quests.

Scy - Maybe if you're Scy. But Kimiko's definitely having a super hard time.

Well, by dumb luck I got through the battle with Grendel (he didn't attack me often and missed a few times) on the fifth or sixth try, so now I'm enjoying the boss-free missions of chapter 4.
To receive cards I have to add you as a friend on PSN, right?

Black 2 team just got a new edition. xD The only male on my team is a Gothita. XD When I get them to level 50, I'mma have a battle between my Black Team (mix of Emerald and Black version teams) and Black 2. XD It should be fun.
