Just to note, Lucario gets Aura because it makes the most sense to have a "stronger as they take more damage" passive on a light character. Giving it to one of the bulkier characters makes it a bit too good as their entire shtick is staying power.

Honestly, as a "for fun game", my biggest complaint about Brawl is basically just tripping. It's still the same "for fun game" at it's core. We can argue about character direction (in terms of kit design) forever so it's really not going to go anywhere to bring those up.

Wii U Smash, I just want no tripping (or leave it as an option to be disabled for those who like RNG factors) and some more defined characters. And then transport me 10 years into the past so I live with the people I played Smash with and actually have people to play with.

I just ... I just made myself very sad.

?? <_< I was never bothered by tripping in Brawl. I thought it was a good game. ^_^ Me and my sister enjoyed the various fucking around and bizarre shit that happened. Tripping was hardly ever noticed and when it was, it just added to the many laughs that we shared. I don't think I've ever sat down to play a "serious game" on Brawl.

Thanks for another card in Ragnarok Odyssey, Zeta, but I'm afraid it's no use. The offensive cards take up so much space that I'm left really weak. And I still don't do enough damage to kill Grendel2. I'll just have to give up on RO.. :/

I like to play with items on very high, it's fun to just throw crap at each other, I usually disable final smashes, as they spawn too frequently for my tastes.

I used Pikachu in the first game, Mewtwo in the second (actually I also used Kirby a lot in both games), and never really settled into a main in Brawl, I did like using Zelda and Ivysaur a lot though.

Tripping drives me crazy because when you play as faster characters like Sonic it feels like you're spending too much time on the ground when you're just trying to stay mobile.


I actually don't have Brawl anymore, I lent it to a friend I am no longer on speaking terms with.

I've always liked Fox and Kirby. Then Marth. But I choose random pretty often. Other times I just pick a new character every time, so "random" won't give me the same one.


Edit: I remember playing the first with my cousins once, on the bigger stages, when the teams started acting like feuding neighbours, throwing junk into eachother's yards. I actually played both the first and Melee a lot with my cousins, and we more often than not laughed until we were sore, late at night.

That's also how we played Phantasy Star Online: Episode I & II.
