Does it make too big of a difference if I kill a specialist? I know killing them grants the item some bonuses, but how big of a deal is that? Some of them are placed in areas where I wouldn't be able to reach them before the other monsters kill them.

I think it allows you to move them around into different items, letting you combine them and such. Eh, like reincarnation, I guess you don't really have to deal with that until endgame or something.

I've never seemed to have too much of a problem with him, but I've only played the odd match with him when I choose random. You're probably right.

Isn't that pretty much the whole reason Meta Knight was such a big issue? Most of his attacks were quick and had high priority, eventually leading to his ban. He is still banned? I don't keep up with comp stuff. Except Comp TF2, and even then I don't know a whole lot.

I think I have seen a grand total of two Brawl competitive matches. One was between a Wolf and a R.O.B. With no ability to combo, it was just trading blows and living to ridiculous percentages. Was incredibly lame. The other was between Snake and Metaknight. Basically Meta Knight just using his tornado in anything but 100% favourable circumstances. Took about two minutes before I decided I never want to see it again.

Really, it is not character balance that bothers me about what happened to Captain Falcon. It is the fact that it is Captain Falcon, and that he is supposed to be awesome. I think everyone was okay with him being immensely powerful in both SSB64 and SSBM. In SSB64, all of his moves (including Falcon Punch) were used like in every match... plus there was the taunt glitch ("Sho-Sho-Sho-Sho-Show me your moves!"), and just all around awesomeness. I suppose what I am trying to say is many of us are a bit disheartened to see our champion fallen from grace.

Though I will not deny the fact that Blue Falcon is one of the most ridiculous attacks in the series, and I love it. There is only one way they could make it more awesome:

I do not think I watch any competitive gaming right now, but I still endorse it and will try to catch big events.

I use Captain Falcon sometimes in Brawl. I used him a lot before. Did he have any moves that weren't fun to use? I don't remember any.

^ I've seen aerial Falcon Kick take people by surprise.

I love playing as DK, even though heavy hitters aren't my usual style. I've found you can still use Falcon kicks to great effect in Brawl, I agree about the punch sucking but he has other moves that are quicker with decent knockback...

^ Some of his A-moves turned wishy-washy.

Well there's always if one wants Brawl to be a bit more "balanced".

Anyway, wonder what new characters could be in that new Super Smash Bros on Wii U. Heard Namco Bandai is working on it too, so that could maybe add Tales characters to the roster.
