Nearly got my entire army promoted, but I've come to an impasse. Use Tharja because hotness, or Henry because lucky rolls? Henry's got just a little less magic than a promoted Tharja, but the rest of his stats are better.

Owain can be the hero deserves, but not the one it needs.

^ Lissa only has -2 Strength. That's -1 with the universal bonus. Of course, it's also +3 Magic with the same bonus.

I always found an amusing contrast in the characters I liked, versus everyone else. are the results of the most popular characters in the game based on the response of players in Japan from last year.
I have a very different picture for some of these characters, but close enough with others.
Of course it has to be said that there is not a single support conversation that does not feel rewarding (though Cordelia comes close at times) and we certainly got a more colourful cast of characters than we have had previously. Now that I have had more time for everything to settle in, I think I like the Tellius characters more, as they try to be diverse while still being more believable. The Greil Mercenaries had an overall feeling of family that is unlike anything else in the series. All said and done, I think Awakening is a close second as far as characters go, more so since many of your favourites make an appearance.

^ I've never heard of a person who doesn't like Henry. And Sully is top tier. I think this could be a Japan/west-thing, more than a Hong/people-thing.
On the other hand, people seem to like Cordelia.

@hong
that's quite a list you have...mostly hating on some of the women, though I do agree with you on some but I thought Tharja was funny D: even if some of her comments were a little silly..

I suppose it should come as no surprise that an extreme feminazi does not like the direction of more sexualized character designs, at least when it is clearly biased. Aside from that, it is coincidental. For the most part I use characters just based on appearances and personality, and I have more women on my force than men on any given chapter. Not a deliberate sort of effort or anything. I am mostly gender-blind, so it comes down purely to character design.
Many people like Tharja. Her outfit is kind of cool, but I find the whole package is a bit overwhelming.

^ Ah, yes, twenty and five xenologues, half a dozen paralogues, and assorted riffraff.
I like that is Batman.

I thought DREAD FIGHTER was a cool localization decision. I hope that stays if they ever somehow get Gaiden out of Japan.

^ It's neat enough. Could it magic in Gaiden?

No. Just swords and axes.
See, they are DREAD FIGHTER. They fight DREAD.
Celica will be like "Alm, this dungeon is so DREADFUL. I need you to fight this DREAD with your DREAD FIGHTER abilities. I can't, because apparently women can't be DREAD FIGHTERS and thus we can't FIGHT DREAD."
Then Alm is like "Very well. As a DREAD FIGHTER I will use my DREAD FIGHTING ability to cleanse this DREADFUL dungeon of DREAD. Pitiful Revenant, you will DREAD the day you ever crossed paths with a DREAD FIGHTER."

Finally beat the Monster Hunter demo. Finally. Did it with a Switch Axe. Now to see what other weapons I can do that with.
I like the Gunbows. I'm not particularly good with them (at least in part because I haven't quite gotten used to ammo management), but that do produce such a satisfying bang. So does the Gunlance, but I'm having trouble getting used to it's movement.
