I dunno, I feel like there's some parts where they clearly hadn't considered the possibility that someone could be trying to solo, like the Bunker, a boss fight where there is virtually nothing to get second winds off of, a boss with very high health and only short periods of vulnerability and tons of EXP loaders, if even one of them manages to sneak up on you during the fight, have fun starting the whole thing over.


Personally, I can't stand soloing unless I absolutely have to.

I did die a few times early on the game (particularly against the first Thresher). There were a few rough times, but I can't say that fight was one of them. Just kept moving and it went down soon enough.

Could it have been my choice of class? The Siren is a very versatile warrior. Matters little what gun is in hand, so long as it is tied to an element. Plenty of AoE coverage, SMGs for close quarters and midrange, with a sniper rifle for everything else.

Their greetings and profile cards make me feel very different from other Emblemiers.it is kind of funny because I can actually sort of determine where I may have come close to this person based on the time stamp on the notification. Kind of creepy in a way.

Yeah. It really is that simple. If not for the Long Bow (and Astrid's Canto!), I could buy the argument that Warriors make better bow-users. But as it stands, the tactical advantage of having a Long Bow can be applied to more turns than it can't.

It runs awful on my laptop, but downloading for my desktop is gonna take like, over a day...

in the meantime, i'm trying Deus Ex, which also somehow runs awful on my laptop??? at least when water or flashlights are out

I think the only real problem with Archers is just the whole lack of counterattack against adjacent enemies, but I guess you could just add the Counter skill to them (if they can have it anyway).

^ I've been wanting to try a Bow Knight with a bunch of critical-rate and Astra.

It's been a long time since I bought a new Dynasty Warriors or equivalent Empires-edition. But the more recent DBZ-aesthetic doesn't appeal much to me. Flashy auras were fine, but everything was more understated back in something like DW4 (because limitations, sure). *
And the characters used to be more stoic arseholes than the bratty arseholes they sometimes become.

Oh, I imagine the combat is quite fulfilling. Unfortunately, I have to imagine it. The female armors are a bit too... I ragequit as soon as I saw an NPC wearing a platemail bikini. I just... no. Just no.
