Oh, I tried to form an outer barrier to create enough distance that the Long Bows (not sure if it different below Lunatic) could not reach the villagers, but considering I only have two units that can survive more than maybe three rounds against higher level enemies, I would say my strategy is adequate. Bear in mind that my file is free of grinding, and my DLC maps have been cleared with units that I do not actually use in my main conquest unless i am pairing them with the unused characters to raise support. If I had cherry-picked easier paralogues or trained my characters to a higher level, it would be a whole different story entirely.

Yeah... It the game feels like it was designed around Normal... maybe Hard. Lunatic adds a few enemies added here and there, some weapon tweaks, but for the most part everyone just has their stats increased by 10-20 and most of the map skirmishes become outright unreasonable for all but fully fleshed out armies, as the enemies are all capped out and equipped with silver weapons forged far beyond what the player could ever have.

And then I realized I accidentally gave Brady Focus instead of Galeforce.
SO GLAD I made a back-up before recruiting any of the children, and I was only two in.

How bad is it if I am emotionally affected by Gerome's words?
Then again, I have always been a sucker for the emotional and overdramatic types, so long as they can still fight through their shroud of darkness and the story is not held back just because they can't get over it(IE Cloud). After all, Cecil Harvey has been my video game crush from the moment I had played FFIV.
"I have worn this darkened armour for so long, there is not a mote of light in me. Not even... in my heart."
Oh Cecil, please allow my unworthy finger to wipe away the blessed tears from your beautiful visage. Unite our souls and warmth as one, and I will give you everything between sea, sky, and even the moon, to mend your wounded heart.

BrĂ¼tal Legend was awesome.
Cue Zeta jumping in and shouting "HERZOG ZWEI".

Man, wish there was a sequel already, the RTS put me off somewhat since it felt a bit unexpected (considering it seemed more like a hack 'n slash before) but I enjoyed it anyway. Although Double Fine still has to complete that 1 million dollar point and click kickstarter project or whatever.
I kinda do like the whole "Hero unit is just the commander" thing, only game I've played with that recently was Air Mech, which was just an okay game.

^ Marketing for Brytal Legend was intentionally misleading, presumably to increase initial sales and disappointment.
