Played the Japanese demo.

Recently, a strange video appeared for a Chinese game that was pretty much, for all intents and purposes, a new PC Monster Hunter MMO. Probably a sequel to Frontier, pretty much, which people clamored for and never got.



I was kicking myself for getting MH3U for the DS because I did actually like online and the better graphics of the Wii (MH is a beautiful series). With 4 and this, not anymore.

Green Narga armor is REALLY good for bow users.

I tried out a lot of different weapons on Friday. The result of which is that I am now having trouble deciding between Lance, SnS, and Hammer.

I'm trying out Hammer more extensively at this point. I like the idea of knocking out giant monsters.

^ Hammer always knows what to do. It's a comforting weapon. You bonk it on the head.

It doesn't have a head? You bonk it on the head.

If I ever play gunner, it's only Heavy Bowgun with rapid/multishot mods. Takes a long time to get the proper upgrades/mods on it to make it highly effective, but it's SOO worth it.


Otherwise, I primarily play a (mega dash juice/grinder/high evasion & dodge) Dual Swords build or a high evasion Long Sword build.

I'm not actually playing this at the moment, but some old friends on mine recently reopened their private RO server, . It's got some really interesting things, such as Trans Extended (including custom new skills) and Renewal Classes without Renewal. And most importantly, the community is awesome. Hope I pitched that well!

So many days spent on RO ;_;

10+ years at this point, man.

Expanded my MH3U kill skills to include Switch Axe, Great Sword, and Sword & Shield. Fun stuff, though Sword & Shield feels depressingly weak at times given how rapidly I can destroy creatures with the other two aforementioned weapons.
