I've recently been playing Melee for the first time in a while and have been enjoying it. I've been playing a lot as Samus and am enjoying myself more than I thought. I never really tried her out too seriously before but I kind of wish I had back when I took the game supa srs.
I actually think the opposite in terms of the cast; I always pictured Melee's to be more focused on a select few characters while Brawl felt more like anyone can be selected and played well with. Of course, like I mentioned, I started replaying Melee a while ago and am seeing that most characters aren't as bad as I thought they were, so maybe when I start playing Brawl again the characters there will feel terrible. I dunno, we'll see.

I main Lucas, Toon Link and Marth in Brawl. Roy is my boy in Melee, though.
And Fire Emblem: Awakening is amazing. Sure, I might be pathetic for playing without permadeaths, but that stuff always bothered me in the series. Sure, it's a series staple and forces you to plan very carefully, but still, restarting a mission over and over can get really tedious if you don't want any loss.

Nah. Don't worry. I hate people who think Classic is "THE ONLY TRUE EXPERIENCE" or Casual is "NOT PLAYING FIRE EMBLEM THE WAY IT WAS MEANT TO BE PLAYED". If it is more fun, why not? Why do people have to be so arrogant? Surely it is a signature distinction of the Fire Emblem series, but you can certainly find enough strategic depth without it. It certainly does no harm to the engrossing story and charming characters, so there's still plenty of appeal.

^ I play Normal Classic. So far, reinforcements haven't acted on their first turns.

*End Turn*
Suddenly, a dozen falcon riders aiming for your mage.
*reset*!
Gotta get back to the game now, quite a lot of content released, and I have to redo that one file.

Got to 8* in village quests. And of all the luck, got a ruby off Rathalos. Now I'm working my way towards Zinogre.
Still going bow, but I'm probably making a new ice bow. Farming Barioth for that. Armor, I'm not too sure, but probably either make that C.Quru armor for the resist or keep my new Lagombi set (Both have CritEye+3, but while C.Quru has resist, Lagombi has Evade Distance). If I melee, though, I'm farming Lagiacrus.

First thing I did with Tharja was to eat four Wyvern Riders in one turn. OK. I'll take it.

And after farming to make myself a sword and shield just for Barioth, I'm creating a collection. Because SnS is awesome.

I know, right? Turned him into a mercenary and he's been one of my best units.
...Well, if I could actually get back to playing FE.
