Honestly, I'm starting to see what people meant by MH3U being entirely soloable, including G rank. Just did my HR7 urgent, against 2 Brachydios. Did it about as fast as someone who took water dual blades and some sweet looking armor. I did it with the best poison DBs I could make and P.Ludroth armor. This is Brachydios, which apparently throws people off. And I fought two at the online only rank.

Gamers in general, especially in North America, have grown too soft. :'( I see it all the time in online environments. More than anything, games popular here are bigger on twitch reflexes as opposed to something that requires thought. The brains of recent generation gamers is not getting worked out enough and going limp. >~< I am not going to say a game is good just because the intended course it not clear (EarthBound had a great balance with its voluntary Hint system), but a lot of games just outright tell you precisely what you need to do at every step.

^ I don't think they're trying and failing, or anything. They aren't expecting that kind of thing. When you don't expect your screen to turn blue, you might assume something's wrong and call for help.

I recently beat Super Metroid for the first time a few weeks ago, and the only part I actually had to look up was how to kill the boss Draygon, because he kept kicking my fanny easily, but even then in the latest Game Center CX VC Challenge, Arino figured out the easy way to kill that same boss by himself because he had the mindset to try out his newest gadget. (Though he is always playing older games anyway, so he's probably used to stuff like that)
Aside from that one boss, everything else I found by exploring the hell out of the world. I used up a lot of time doing it, but I still found it entertaining. There was a brief moment of panic where, near the end of the game, I realized I had missed a power up. Turns out it was the Spring Ball, which I still found eventually. I also completely skipped out on the Spazzer Beam until after I had found Plasma, so there's always that thought that the game could have been that much more easier.
I've also been playing A Link to the Past for the first time. I was originally going to replay Ocarina of Time, but my cart froze and I didn't want to redo an hour's worth of progress.

^ I've just been watching somebody play Link's Awakening on youtube instead. My GBC isn't unpacked.
Levelgrinding in Dragon's Dogma seems to be slowing down at 150.
