Sole mates we are, and I would happily walk a thousand miles with Maxine's hand in my own. (◡‿◡✿)
And yeah, I know what you mean with the d-pad. Aside from the stiffness, I had some issues of thumb cramps. I couldn't play any of my Castlevania games or Cave Story at first, but since I switched to the XL I have not had thumb cramping so it has been alright. Regular 3DS owners might need to get a grip attachment to help create some distance for their thumb to relax, though I am not sure if it will make it any more responsive.

I recently bought the original LoZ on my XL and it's been much better than I feared (having never played it before). Still haven't really attempted Link's Awakening, but I probably will soon. I've also recently beaten Mega Man III and the original Castlevania.
I've definitely been getting rusty though. Without restore states, I probably wouldn't have beaten any of them. Luckily, I'm at least good enough to play Super Metroid past the beginning sections. (Though it'll have to be on the Wii).

I remember playing the original Metroid on the Wii's virtual console and getting a decent amount of work done with it. A few weeks ago I played through Zero Mission and decided to check out the original again just to compare, and holy balls are they different. You can't even crouch in the first game, nor can you shoot up. It's insane to see how simple things like that are taken for granted.

I am a genius. If I cover the consoles, they won't get dusty.

So, Guilty Gear Xrd...
I don't like what they did to Ky. He should not have a Ponytail. I am looking forward to seeing an older May, though. Hopefully Blazblue design-feel would not infect her too. So far, Ky and Millia look more like they belong in Blazblue than Guilty Gear.

Damn, I think it looks fantastic. But then again, I don't really mind BlazBlue, though I prefer Guilty Gear.

I can't wait. I'm amazed at how 2D the graphics look, despite being rendered in a 3D engine.

Ponytail makes Ky look less stick in mud. Central character-theme, learn old scope limited, embark journey of selfdiscovery, "find justice".
Usually by hunting down old veteran with ponytail who's got almost everything figured out and never makes an effort. To yell insecure, frustrated interrogations at.
Millia has ugly hat. Interesting implications. She's running out of time.
Gay wizards in spoiler.

I guess this is before Overture, or something.
