Re: Games you are playing
Radiant Miko seems like Himi's best class. Reigning Dragon and Weapon Grace are just so much stronger than everything. A bit plain, perhaps.
Takes so much Venus to maintain. I suppose you could replace most with leftovers if you leave them on standby, though that cuts a bit from Reigning Dragon's power.
Yeah, I guess you could just focus on Weapon Grace. And you'd have some emergency-summons prepared in advance, I suppose.
Eh, or just go Diabolist. Mass-venom, mass-stun and a second damage-element. In exchange for blunt power. Huge, blunt power.

Re: Games you are playing
I mean, I didn't play HM64 so I'll go off on my experience from Tree of Tranquility (one of the more recent HM games).
In THAT game, when you harvest things like grass or you mine, not only does your character pick it up and hold it over their head but then you have to hit an extra button to even make them put it away into your bag. In this game, the pick it up, hold it over their head for two nanoseconds and then shove it into the bag AUTOMATICALLY! O_O Oooooooh!!!
??? I fail to see the argument here. It's just a tiny animation that I've had no problem with.
The treats I'll concede as being annoying - but you only need to give the animals treats if you want +1 to produce. It does not serve anything in the happiness department. And just the sheer amount of treats you have to feed gives the whole impression that "hey! the animators wanted this to be a somewhat difficult thing to build up!" *shrugs* ^_^; Maybe I'm more lenient than you, Hong. But I will concede that in any HM game, I've never had much interest or energy in the animal department anyways. And I love this game for that:
Unlike most HM games where you start off farming and then late game you pretty much are limited to livestock as your source of income, I thought this game did a kick ass job of making sure that those people (like me) who love to FARM are as equally as happy. I get to play with seeds and quality levels and I LOVE the tiers area. Maybe I'm not bothered by the treats thing because honestly, I don't really care much about the animals to begin with - I brush them (SPEEDY BRUSH FTW), feed them, and talk to them - and maybe if I've finished early I give them treats. Treats aren't an every day thing for me (and even then, I've already got most of them up to Producing 2 items a day). The only reason I have chickens at this point is Egg Soup - which is what my character feasts on to get extra stamina without breaking our budget or over complicates the game with stupid cooking (I never really got the draw in cooking in the HM games).
^_^ I think I'm just too much in love with many of the good aspects of the game to be bothered worrying about the small things.
But that's ok. I don't like Animal Crossing. You don't like Harvest Moon. :3 I'm sure there's half a dozen things you could say to me in defense of your favorite game. ^_^

^_^ I've played Friends of Mineral Town for the GBA. Does that count? I don't know how similar the two are. Until A New Beginning, though, FoMT was my favorite HM game EVER.

Re: Games you are playing
The only Harvest Moon game I played was A Wonderful Life, I couldn't really get into it at all, although it wasn't helped that my disc was damaged and would have read errors sometimes, but even after I remedied that, I didn't like the game that much.
I do like Rune Factory, though.

Reminds me of that chapter from the first WarCraft where the enemy had like four priests right next to each other and they tanked my entire army. I was only a kid back then and not well-versed in the ways of burst damage, so yeah, it was pretty bad. ¬ ¬

Re: Games you are playing
So, my current Hawke in Dragon Age II is a mage named Professor. Should I feel bad? OTL
Granted, I'm sure someone's also named their Hawke Steven or Tony.
