I decided to pick up Magical Drop V during the sale. I really enjoy it, which is weird because I usually dislike puzzle games. But the difficulty curve needs some tweaking. The first puzzle battle is probably impossible to lose, and it gains very little difficulty as the battles go on...until the last two battles. At this point the games thinks you've mastered it and sets the AI to do some crazy point scoring combos.

Then again I just started playing Dr. Mario, and the difficulty also seemed to have jumped by a large margin from level 1 to level 6. Maybe all puzzle games are like this.

After finishing some work for Dragon Nest, I am glad I decided not to play it.

Characters just get kind of out-of-hand at a high level, all having six+ skills they can use frequently that involve massive explosions or waves of energy. I don't think things should be plain or realistic (not a fan of Chivalry), but I kind of prefer if things have a bit more refinement than that. It is like someone gets juggled with ten explosions, ricochets off a wall and gets up missing like maybe 10% of their health.

Mastered Ranks 1, 2 and 3 of the Battle Squares...

Only 150 battles left to go... ugh...

I suppose I could skip out on the Bracers since they're utterly useless in HoF. ... But all the other items in the Battle Squares are very useful. Particularly that Brilliant Short Sword +5 and the Throwing Axe of Shocking Burst.

... Oh well better keep on trudging along ;_;

Unrelated, but someone within 100m of me REALLY likes their 3DS. It hasn't left my home and where I live is kind of... out there in that it is not on a path to anything important, but it picks up a StreetPass at rather absurd hours. Judging by what I have StreetPassed from her, it's not like she just got it either and has been playing for a long time. Putting together all the evidence, I deduced this person is experiencing a boring summer.

Edit: With Henry, you can get a second male-to-female skill in addition to the Avatar's.
