What? The game in general or the Pokemon Bank Service?

It's a 500 Yen (about $5) annual fee for the cloud storage. I don't see the basic consumer being interested, though the more fanatical pokemaniac could find some use in it. For those with hundreds or thousands of Pokemon from Black and White, this is for them. There will be a free trial for use if you just want to use it to nab the six starters quick and easy.

As for the game itself, I doubt I'll get it. I was into the series with... red and green/blue?

Ah whoops, I meant the bank service. I think ~$5 is a little too much for what I'd be getting in return, but I'll have to see it in person I suppose.

EDIT: Oh wow, I'm an idiot and seem to have forgotten English. I honestly wouldn't mind ~$5 a year for the service, I was thinking it it was a monthly thing, and then realized that the video said "annual".

The difference being you can add or remove Pokemon from any version starting from Black/White and they are adding other software compatible with the server that are not part of core series of games. Pokemon no longer need to be abandoned when newer versions come out.
