@Etrian Veteran Yup, i always loved this one, much more than Dawn of sorrow too, but in my own opinion, Portrait of Ruin is the best one, followed by this one and Order of Ecclesia then by Dawn of sorrow.

Never get to put my hands on any of the gba ones other than Aria of sorrow so i can't quite tell. Meh, i might try to find some of them, it might be quite intereting.
But in general, all Castlevania games have really great soundtracks (and Harmony of Despair an Judgment, even if they are really bad games in my opinion, have great soundtrack because they took the best ones of all the episodes and made remixes out of them)

For Castlevania I've played Harmony of Dissonance and LOVED every second of it. Got Circle of the Moon... not impressed.

Portrait of Ruin - hated.

I recently purchased the 3ds one (name escapes me at the moment) and it looks really good but I've not tried to get that far into it yet. More appealing games elsewhere.

The main reason I was interested in Abyss was because I loved using Anise in Tales of VS.

Tales of VS is kind of like the Tales of the World games in that it's a crossover between various games in the series, except it's a VS game, set up a bit like super smash bros. plays basically like normal tales games combat, but with platforming. It's fun, but wasn't released outside of Japan, it was a PSP game though, so no region protection.

I might just price the PS2 version of this game if my eyes keep up like this. I wonder if I could find a copy....

I don't think the PS2 version is particularly difficult to find or expensive, pretty sure it's cheaper than the 3ds version at least.

Sadly, no. I got my copy of the game for $15. I looked it up and the cheapest I could find was around the $30 mark. I'll deal with it. Besides... I really do like the portability.

I didn't know you could get the 3ds version so cheap, pretty sure I paid less than 30 for my PS2 copy, though.
