I've spent like... 5 hours today playing Okami. Pretty game, don't really like Issun, I want him to shut up. The Konohana Shuffle was a pain because you only get one chance on each stroke, and if you miss, you have to go throug the slow-ass dialouge because you can not skip it in this scene...!

But yeah, so far I'm pretty pleased with it.

@Wolkenritter: Out of curiosity, how do you patch a DS game? Do you need to buy a flash cart? Also, would it work on a 3DS? I don't even know where my DS is anymore.

OT:

Over the weekend I finished the God Eater arc of GEB, clearing every Difficulty 1-6 mission. This took a lot longer than it should have since I, admittedly quite foolishly, have decided to really keep up with gear upgrades this time. As of reaching Difficulty 7 I had every short blade, taken down every possible branch, upgraded as far as possible at this point in time. I also have both the Kongou Cannon variants that are available at the moment, upgraded as far as they will go and the Witch's Wand, for Gourmet (for items whose Devour rate is <10%, Gourmet increases it by 1%), also fully upgraded. On top of this, I have the Tankei Armor, currently the best version of the only shield you'll ever need (outside of one extremely situational post-game set, but that's neither here nor there).

Outside of the starting junk, which I won't bother to list, I currently have the following gear:



Last night I was farming a Dyaus Pita and Kanon got Incapacitated. I ran over to give her Link-Aid and, as I was bending down, I got shot and also died. Girlfriends fight together, girlfriends die together.

@Wolkenritter: Thanks for the info. I have zero interest in emulating stuff on PC (that's what the PSP is for), but I might look into flash carts if I ever find my DS. At least copies of the game still seem to be easy to come by.

^_^ So I'm discovering that I'm a Tales fan, I think.

I've loved the shit out of Tales of Xillia and have beaten Jude's side, currently working on Millia's. Also purchased Tales of Graces and my god I love it, the only detraction is that it is short and unlike the other Tales games I've played there doesn't feel like much replay value. I've not officially beaten it yet, though, so we will see.

I remember having played Symphonia but that was with my sister so the experience was a little twisted and different since she really is not into the same aspects of the games and I always had to change my battle style to accomodate for her. I'd like to have another go ... and have been thinking of purchasing Chronicles, but... I still have the gamecube but... to play an old system when I have a beautiful new system... but... money.... and I already want KHremake. ...GAH!

I've only played Tales of Phantasia and Tales of the Abyss and they were both pretty good. I really enjoyed Phantasia's music on the SNES.

Why, after two run throughs with levels and better equipment with each run through, am I still scared of the last third of Dragon's Dogma's expansion?

Probably because it's dark as hell and if my light goes out God only knows what's around that corner. Giant saurians? Elder Ogre? DEATH? THE ABYSS?!

seince so many people have decided to use my xbox i decided i'd start trying to play more of golden sun Dark Dawn, and i still haven't seen why people hate it so much.
