Re: Games you are playing
I had a hunch that Emerald does more damage than the Topaz one. So yeah, once I hop into the Tam-Tara Deepcroft, I'll definitely have the Emerald one out.
I might just make a second Arcanist that will be a Summoner in the future if I regret my choice, the game is pretty fun after all. But this one will be a Scholar, because the mere thought of a Lalafell Scholar consists of high-pitched girly screams.

Re: Games you are playing
So, after getting about two hours sleep total over four nights, I was feeling probably more tired than I have in my life, quite a bit worse than before when I posted about PSPRevolution. I decided to repeat the experiment, but this time I played more and I screenshotted every run, so I invite you all to laugh at my magnificent failings. I personally find the results quite funny anyway.
There are a decent number of images, so I'll split them into spoiler tags, sorting them by difficulty of Full Comboing (inside the spoilers the songs will be ordered in the same fashion. Note though, how poorly I did on any given song seemed to have little to do with how difficult said simfile was in many cases. I did much worse on some songs than others that are quite a bit harder; I guess being tired makes you inconsistent as well as bad. With two exceptions, which I will note, all simfiles are from Gpop's Touhou or Volcaloid Pad Packs.
Songs anyone should be able to Full Combo, regardless of skill level or experience:
Songs I can easily Full Combo, but doing so does require some skill and/or memorization:
Songs I have Full Comboed, but can't do so consistently:
Songs I haven't managed to Full Combo yet:
I also had a go at Otaku's Dream's I am L and, as I had expected, even with a 1.5x speed mod on, I failed. I lasted ~25 seconds after the "Watashi wa L desu" line.

I tried.
I just can't get into TF2 anymore. I never liked shooters, but somehow I was able to play Team Fortress in some form for years.
No hard feelings. Will just let it go.

Re: Games you are playing
First, a complaint about Pokemon. HMs are a TERRIBLE idea. That is all.
Anyway, I've been spending most of my time the last few days playing Touhoumon. I have included a bunch of screenshots here, so this had to be spoilered for length.
Last night I also gave Osu! another go, this time using my mouse on my bedside table and feeding the video to my main display. The angle and height are really awkward, but it is much less of a handicap than using the trackpad. I drastically improved my results in all the beatmaps I'd tried. Using the format old result -> new result, I got:
Liquid (Paul Rosenthal Mix) - Easy: D -> B
Liquid (Paul Rosenthal Mix) - Normal: D -> B
Lost - Normal: D -> B
Tutorial: C -> S
Tear Rain - Normal: C -> A
As with last time, even though Tear Rain is the hardest out of those beatmaps, it is also the one I did the best in, as I was starting to get the hang of the game by that point. My improvement in that song in particular is quite surprising actually. I went from 206, 506 (80x) 73.45% to 866, 322 (207x) 94.18%. What does that number in the brackets represent? The only thing I can guess is that it is your max combo, but I'm pretty sure I didn't get mine that high.
I also tried the Hard difficulty version of the above beatmaps and didn't last longer than a minute in any of them.
Interestingly, this seems to be the first rhythm game I have played where the difficulty goes up as the speed does, instead of the inverse.

Re: Games you are playing
I don't have time to write up a proper post at the moment, but I really need some help. I have caught my first legendary in Touhoumon (Layla), but don't know how to distribute its EVs.
It is a Ghost/Psychic and its base stats are HP: 70 Atk: 150 Def: 65 SpAtk: 150 SpDef: 65 Speed: 150. I have changed its moveset around and now it has Psikokinesis (a renamed Psychic), Shadow Ball, Prism Live (Ghost, 70 Power, 100 Accuracy, 20 PP, 20% chance to raise all stats be 1 stage) and Future Sight. It has a Mild nature.
It is a real glass cannon, but the problem is that it is a mixed physical/special attacker. I would like to put as much a possible into both Atk and SpAtk, but if it gets outsped it will die. My main concern is ZBoneka in Java, whose base speed (whilst they actually range from 10-230) seem to mostly sit around 150-200. What kind of speed EVs would I need to give my Layla to ensure she will reasonably be able to outspeed them? I'm far from being an expert in Pokémon, but my instinct would be to go 252 Speed/130 SpAtk/126 Atk, however I don't want be to wasting any unnecessary point in Speed.
I'm a little desperate here, so I would really, really appreciate any help.
