I've been playing 松竹梅 (a pachinko game), 花札狂 (a hanafuda game), and Dance Dance Revolution S, all of which are on my iPhone. I've been outside a lot this weekend, is why. Otherwise I'd have been playing something else.

As I draw near the end of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, I can't shake the feeling of how disappointing the art is. Aside from spell casting, it's pretty bland. Even Path of Radiance had more flash than this, not counting pegasi. In a way, the graphics are well done. Clean, smooth animation and detailed. It's the application that makes it so bad. The critical animations, with a few exceptions, are pathetically mediocre. Even the Swordmaster, a unit you expect to have some amazing "HOLY CRAT!" critical animation, is among some of the worst. I would have loved an option to have my GBA sprites back. Those were the best. :(
