BlazBlue's Visual Novel (i.e., Story mode!) has a Higurashi vibe (minus the death, obviously). Well, at least Rachel's story (only one I've done so far).
Repeating End of the World scenario for Rachel's story. A cycle she cannot escape; she is merely a "spectator" (she refers to herself as "the audience") to the play. Pretty much Rika from Higurashi who has resigned herself to her fate.
Though I think the "Good" End for hers (involving some neat Rachel x Ragna) involves a glimmer of hope towards breaking it. Is this the good end? Fuck if I know, stop telling me to find the Alternate Truth oh god.
Edit: Apparently her "True" END involves finding Kokonoe, which means you do NOT do the fight with Ragna. How sad. I prefer thinking that Ragna, as the one "destroying the world", as her final fight and that little moment over ... an easy fight with Tager and a chat with a catgirl. It seems only a few of the cast know of the End of the World and the endless cycle, though some figure it out (Kokonoe in the Rachel END remarks she figures out the world will end sooner than she has before). I don't like that as the "Hope" as opposed to Ragna fighting against the cycle (he's like a super badass Keiichi with a SCYTHE INSTEAD OF A BAT).
"You still don't understand? Even after so many repetition!? Don't you see that your lack of conviction dooms this world to oblivion!?
...
"*the world rumbles* The time has already come. You..."
"Wh-What's with you? You're creepin' me out, rabb---"
"Not now. Listen to me. Never admit defeat. Endure whatever pain you may face, and fight until your last breath, as a human being*. Even if you are ugly, and pathetic, and broken ...
"Rachel..."
"Please, Ragna."
Cue end of the World.
*Ah ... Ragna's a Human? I thought he was part Vampire from his past with Rachel? God damn it, maybe I should've started with Ragna's story ... but Rachel is adorable (and I'm not half bad with her). George XIII -> A + B + D + 6C combo in the corner is ridiculous. Sets up for a perfect Distortion too for massive damage~
I'd like to take the time to say having to go every route, win every fight, and LOSE EVERY FIGHT is silly for a 100% completion. They better have some silly BAD ENDs though I guess and not just "cue Game Over lol" screen.

Rachel's losing matches just seems to trigger GAME OVER and nothing funny
Oh boy...
"Gii! Prepare a bath! That filthy man touched me, and I fear he may have left something of himself behind. I feel unclean!"
JESUS CHRIST BANG IS RIPPED JUST SAYING.
Edit:
So that silly Square-Enix countdown ... leads up to this:
...
"Meh."
Edit: "TEACH ME, BOOBIE LADY."
"Most of what you will see here is fiction within fiction and, as such, has no bearing on the actual story, or canon, of BlazBlue. Much of what you will see is impromptu sketch comedy, and its only intention is to facilitates your understand, not further the storyline, of BlazBlue. Mew."
Hahahaha.
"...But as you can tell, she's a bit, um, stupid. Do you think you can treat that?"
(Oh...Oh dear)
Hikari no Yon Senshi is a standard turn-based RPG for the DS. You play as a 14-year-old protagonist who has to save a princess. Since you’re so big and strong, naturally this task is given to you by the King himself, whose daughter has been kidnapped by a witch.
The game seems to allow you to customize the equipment of your four-man party, and the changes are all reflected on the actual 3D models. The party consists of characters you meet along the way, so you’ll probably be able to choose between several different characters. No mention is made of whether or not you’ll be able to ride the chubby dragon featured on the teaser site.
Plot sounds fairly barebones so far. But then again, wasn't there another Final Fantasy game that started out with you rescuing a princess and eventually ends with you disrupting a stable time loop to defeat a villain called Chaos?
