I don't mind the thought of portable gaming but man, it's annoying to see so many games that could do more by being on a console.
obligatory "graphics aren't everything" now I guess but if people still harp on that then they just don't "get" what I'm talking about. It feels weird with the portable gaming push that the console gamers are now the minority all of a sudden ... it's weird.
Sometimes I feel like it's the 1970s when I read this forum though ... seriously TV access? Haha

No offense heh but this thought made me laugh.
There's just something about playing something while reclining on the couch with a big screen, you know? I mean, PSP can do that but it's just a stretched resolution so it looks a bit weak. Plus I like playing for long hours and staring at a small screen for that long is annoying.
This is a lot of whining really. LET ME USE MY STUFF COME ON GUYS~~~
Edit: Does have the added bonus of me using my TV and speaker set-up for outside music or having TV/Movies on in the background, which is nice multitasking.
And here's hoping a PSP rerelease of Marl Kingdom games and the eventual translation. They weren't that popular I think though so ... who knows.
I'm still surprised Rhapsody got remade; it's not that great of a game. Like, the actual gameplay and stuff, before I get mauled for this or something.
TV access in that we share our living spaces with people, and that noise/light isn't always appreciated by those that we share our lives with. Not that like.. people don't have televisions. They just can't always use the TV...
Also, the whole HD/SD thing. I mean, christ, sometimes my television needs to be hit a fit times before the picture comes on! But I can't complain since it was a free TV. The one in the bedroom was picked up at a garage sale for $20, so can't complain about that either. but, yeah, both my TVs are boxy old standard def and only about 25"
And audio? hahahaha yeah... just the standard speakers built into the TV.
Neither of us are big AV junkies and view it as a waste of money. But I know there are those that are really into it and have the excess cash to blow.

Also, even the DS's screen size easily matches a huge HD TV when it comes to actual viewing angle. Okay, the resolution is much lower, but story and gameplay trump graphics any day.

No no, I meant viewing angle the other way around. The angle of your view that's covered by the screen. A TV at four paces forms a pretty small image on your retina, whereas a DS at half an arm's length forms a much larger image.

Ooooooooooh.
...
*looks at TV*
No, I don't think so? I do have a semi-big TV screen, though. I do get what you mean on the DS screen though.

I was going to say "Hm, probably not" then I remembered complaining about the change of VC concept art and they even kept the same Artist. Hypocrite much? Yup!
Though, to be honest, they haven't released an SMT since so we can't really say if it'll go the direction of Persona or not. I'm a little optimistic but, truth be told, it's about 80% "more SMT" and 20% hope.
Initial reaction of VC2 aside, I'm glad there's more VC, despite the changes. Well, I'll bitch about the PSP one for awhile but, hey, all the more reason to buy my PSP finally.
Edit: On that note, has the Lancarse team been doing anything since EO2? A few worked on DS but not that much so ... possibly EO team on an SMT spin-off? Whatever it is, another DS SMT makes the most sense with an October '09 release date.

Playing Dark Spire again
Of course this means that I just picked it up again to continue playing from where I left off last time - on floor 3.

Kino is glad she didn't buy that game, despite how fun it looked.
Also, where the eff is my 7th dragon?
Furthermore, still loving the shit out of Magical Starsign. It's fun because it's been long enough since I last played it that I've forgotten most f the plot. I was like "OH HELLS YEAH POT VILLAGE WICKED COOL"
Such a cute game, too... Although the character art is a little fugly.
