I just played through the special edition of Trilby's Notes, which, along with 6 Days a Stranger, is my favorite game in the series. I messed up at the end and saved too late, so I had to replay it to get the extended ending, which probably intended to be seen before its sequel, but oh well.

That game includes some of my favorite Cabadath moments.
When he kills Somerset and Mbouta, to be exact.
Second playthrough of Devil Survivor done. Somehow, even with all the fighting for Macca for fusing, I wasn't really that overleveled.

WHEE, DOUBLE SPOILERS (First is route, second is ... actual spoiler!)
Naoya's Route

Truth be told, the routes themselves aren't a huge spoiler. Every major member of the cast has a route (...then there's Kaido). Yuzu, Atsuro, Naoya, Amane, Gin (Haru's), and Kaido. Only Keisuke and Midori are missing a route but they get enough silly stuff for Day 1-6 (letting Kaido kill Keisuke, Keisuke joining with Midori leaving) that I guess they didn't deserve one.

Final Boss was Level 77 and my MC was 82, Naoya was 75?, Kaido was 72, and Mari was 68. Demons were all over the place, ranging from 64 to 76.

King of Bel/Naoya route was so much better than "yeah we ran"/Yuzu route. Some insight into Naoya and the MC (Cain and Abel) though not enough explained. Babel was kind of weird too ... I really need Amane's route I think to figure this out.
I'm trying... slowly... to figure out how to play FFTA. In particular, the fucking laws.

GODDAMN MYSELF!! WILL I CHECK THE LAW BEFORE I START A BATTLE!!

T-T I just had this one battle where I wasn't allowed to use "Attack". Good thing: all the monsters could do was run around. Bad thing: I couldn't level up Marche and could only use spells. Tch, a simple click of another town and going back would have saved me the fucking hassle.

I get the feeling that sooner or later me and that prison are going to be well acquainted with each other.

Also, the button control scheme in the menus seems... awkward. x_x

Just wait until there are three laws active at once. Then the game gets really [s]irritating[/s] fun.

The only strategy-rpgs I've played and actually enjoyed are the Fire Emblem games. Then again, I haven't played too many srpgs, so...

Yeah FFTA's laws sucked.

I finally beat EOI!
The Etreant fight was just so anti-climatic for me. Immunize is such a game breaker, though he did manage to kill my Medic, which made me panic a little since I didn't save before fighting him and I only had one of those Resurrection items lolol. But yeah, after that, I just spammed Immunize + Bravery + Allslash (fail, I forgot to switch to Axe before fighting u_u) + Drain + Smite = bye bye Chief.

I guess I'll start the wyvern stuff after I retire my DH, 'cause I REALLY want to change his name fdsajdnsak. Then I have to retire my Protector for the Anti- skills... Then Medic for Caduceus... then whoever else. whee
I lost my copy of EOI. And I was so close to completing everything, too...

But congratulations, Rain. The sixth stratum is fun.
Monster-wise, that is. Floors 27+28 and 29 can be a pain to get through. But that's why Zaraf made those maps, I suppose.
Oh just wait until you get further into the game. Double laws. TRIPLE LAWS!

Thankfully the sequel tones them down. The penalty for breaking a law is the loss of the ability to revive your teammates and you lose your clan's bonus for the remainder of the battle. I can't remember what you got for upholding the laws...a special item bonus or something.

The no attack law though...laws like that you just know were only put in there because someone on the design team wanted to be a jerk. Its a fun game overall, in my opinion, but not as good as the first tactics and could have been better if whoever thought up the law system met with an unfortunate accident before they could share that idea.

And funny EO should be mentioned...I'm on my way through EO2 again and in the third stratum now. Took a brief break to play Elite Beat Agents and have decided it'd be best if I don't touch rhythm games again. I was playing on easy and doing fine until the third section of the last song...

o_O I didn't think it was such a bad system. It's actually kinda appealing. Obviously it will probably make me want to break my DS but I'm looking forward to the interesting challenge.

<_< I thought so far the game was lovely and I like the story (what I've gotten of it so far).

It's available in English so ... yeah. The Demo (with Witch Hunt's patch) is free to download, 100% English, and is the entire first arc.

Episodes 2, 3, and 4 are also done, and I'll probably buy Umineko 3/4/whateverfuckingnumber.
Umineko 4 is the first Answer arc so I guess Umineko 3 is Alliance of the Golden Witch (4th Question Arc)? Fuck I don't know.
I put in like 45m or so? I'd say and ... yeah, there's a lot of stuff before they even ARRIVE at Rokkenjima. Sheesh.

Edit: Witch Hunt's site for the patch and links for the demo d/l: http://witch-hunt.com/stage.html

<_< I HATE starting stories and not being able to finish them.

But, they have ALL of the arcs translated? EVERYTHING? I thought they were still in the process of it.

According to the site, they have Episodes 1-4 100% done for Umineko 3 (aha, Alliance is Umineko 3!)

I assume they'll work on Episode 5 once it releases in August.
