From what I've heard, Twilight is indeed very badly written. But why should an MMO based on it be rage-inducing or deserving to be hacked? Wouldn't it be a good thing if more people get into MMOs?

Perhaps, but there is a certain amount of schadenfreude gained from thinking such thoughts.

Why so much hate for Twilight? I've never read the books or anything, but still...
Also I'm still playing Devil Summoner Soul Hackers. Here's the intro movie. I'm posting it because the music is awesome.

It's similar to the people who hate on Halo or other popular things.
I hate on it because I got dragged to go see the movie and I didn't even get sex out of it.

Also, because it was terrible. I'm far from feminazi, mostly because I have a penis, but even that made me /facepalm at the message of "FIND A MAN/VAMPIRE AND LET HIM DO ALL YOUR THINKING FOR YOU FOREVER. SUBSERVIENT FEMALE IS A GOOD FEMALE."
And, no, we don't really need more people into MMOs ... you make it sound like a dying breed of gamer.

I hate it mostly because it just seemed so shallow to me when I read them.
That and there isn't any real chemistry. It's just a male vampire stuck in an eternal sex drive and a girl with a fetish for the supernatural, both lusting after each other.

Sampson, how much of them have you read?
Speaking from someone who has read all the books, I feel that I earned my right to hate on it. What Scy said in his second spoiler tag is true. The books are one giant Mary Sue adventure. They are not well-written at all. There's a terrible love-triangle that makes me want to bash my head into the wall.
As for the MMO... it's just another bad example of HEY LICENSE THIS SHIT OUT OF THIS. We don't need more bad games.

All four. What I said was a large exaggeration, perhaps, but I really do believe that Bella and Edward lack chemistry. My main gripe with the series is that it's too perfect.
She changes things around to give the characters happy endings. Like at the end of Breaking Dawn, where there are two large armies about to face off, but instead of writing an in-depth description of the battle, she just has them leave without even fighting. And she had all the build-up to it, too...grr...
And with Nessie, you first get the impression that she's going to die early because of her rapid development. But then you learn that she'll stop aging then and there, so there's another dreadfully happy ending right there.
And of course she won't kill any main protagonists.
For example, in The Host:
Like before, she had oodles of build-up to Wanderer dying. She should've ended the book right after the doctor says goodbye. But then she has to make things perfect and give everyone a happy ending (sure, they're still fighting the aliens and stuff, but they're content given the circumstances). Jamie probably should've died, too. That would probably depress Wanderer, and that would've given Wanda another reason to die (hooray for valiant and depression-fueled suicide).
Although I will say I prefer The Host to Twilight.

Haven't read the Host. Had enough of her BS with the twilight books.
I agree with you completely on all points. My fiance likes to ask, incredulously, "What interest would a 100 year old immortal vampire have in a seventeen year old girl?!" (Well, duh, she's the Mary Sue of course everyone just LOVES her)
More:
That fucking vampire baby .... yeah. Totally WTF. And the utter retarded bullshit that is Jacob imprinting on her.
Furthermore, it sends the fantastic message of HEY GET MARRIED HAVE SEX DONT USE PROTECTION HAVE A BABY YAAAAAY.
Agree 100% there should have been a kickass fight and some character death.
Did like Alice, though....

Dude, what teenager-looking immortal wouldn't be interested in banging a 17 year old?

Banging, maybe. Forming a last relationship?
Again to quote fiance, "What on earth could they talk about it?"
I think it's cute that his first thoughts weren't on FUCK HER YEEAARR but more of like what they'd have in common to discuss and share beyond the sheer hormonal attraction.
