I ended up just sticking barrels and crates against the switch, to be honest. And the cat. I was pretty pleased with myself for that one.
The pegasus is awesome for flying. It can hover in mid-air, unlike the jetpack or wings which have a limited in-flight time. I hear that you can use various flying dinosaur creates as well.
I keep trying to break out of my little comfort zone and use new stuff or creative things. Like today I discovered that an Orca can defeat a shark!
I'm definitely enjoying this game. I agree with online reviews that the controls are a touch difficult... I've run Maxwell off a couple cliffs on accident when I've been trying to pick up something small with the stylus. Overall though I'm extremely pleased with the game. It's perfect to whip out for a couple minutes since the title screen is just a big free area.
Earlier today I summoned three shotgun-wielding atheists and then had them battle God. It amused me.

Me too, Maxine! I absolutely love playing it. I like hearing what people use for a solution, too, share some of yours with me!
Have you played the final level in stage 1?
It's the one with the switch that drops the starite on to the spikes, and then in the water is the shark.
That one was tough! I ended up using glue to adhere mattresses to the spikes so the starite dropped down in the water. I then summon my shark-killing Orca before dropping down and using a snorkel to grab the starite.
For the challenge mode, my second solution was that I used duct tape and pillows, except the starite didn't bounce down into the water. So I carefully adhered a rope to the starite and pulled it down where a winged-Maxwell could reach it. For the third solution I positioned planks around the spikes so that the starite dropped into the water. I then summoned Cthulu to kill the shark and used a diving suit to reach the starite.
Oh, and I found two more creatures that behave like the pegasus:
Archaeopteryx
Sphinx
I've been busy with essays for class and haven't gotten to play much ;__; I'm only at like level 2-2 or 2-3 I think.
XD Pillows and Mattresses!! >_< I've gotta keep that in one in mind. :3 I tell you, this game makes me feel unimaginative.
In that one, I summoned up a table and propped it up in just a way that when the start fell it kinda bounced along the table and then fell into the water. Then, I used repellent and a dolphin to reach it.
The hardest one to me so far really was the one with the Tornado in it. >_> I ended up just summoning a fuggin' Black Hole and getting rid of the damn thing.
There was that one and then the second to the last (or around there) in Metro City that has a zombie monster a pile of explosives. I "o_O" my way through it. I started out by killing the zombie with like a dragon or something. But while trying to get rid of the dynamite, I summoned a black hole again. It... didn't have the effect I wanted since it set off the chain reaction but I got lucky enough somehow that it didn't blow up the star. I dunno if I will be able to duplicate such a result.
I've completed the second zone and gotten all silver stars. Some of them, I wonder how I'm going to be able to gold star them since I really "o_O" my way through them.
*sob* BTW: bullet proof vest ISN'T BULLET PROOF!! >_< GYAAAAAH!!

@Dolphin
You can ride it underwater?! Fuck me! I've been collecting underwater methods (only had snorkel, scuba and diving suit so far). I'll have to try that.
For the tornado I first summoned a weather man, but he didn't do anything. So then I just summoned my trusty pegasus and just stubbornly flew over the damn thing. (I discovered that if you just keep at it enough you can get past it that way) Repeated that with wings and jetpack. I'm so boring!
Didn't read the last part of your post; I'm not to that point yet. (stupid essays!!)
I haven't gotten any silver stars! All mine are gold, at least for the first zone. The two levels I've played of the second stage are also gold.
For level 2-1, the one where you dig, I just did the exact same thing each time. I summoned a beast to kill the dog and bee (tiger, cougar, rhino) and then grabbed the shovel and dug down to the right crate. I got a gold star for that.
For the Trick or Treat puzzle I used candy corn, cotton candy and chocolate. Also got a gold star for that.
I didn't think I was being all that clever. Have you been doing the 3-in-a-row rechallenge?
After I went to bed and started playing I realized what we were talking about.
I've been going for the gold star one each level before moving on to the next one. Since I'm forbidding my fiance to play further than myself in the game, this is driving him crazy. But I made him promise not to play further than me. Secretly I'm happy he's playing the DS. The only other DS game he's played is Professor Layton.
Although I do have my first "FUCK IT IT CAN JUST STAY SILVER" level. It's the one where you have to dig to reach the star, but there is a pressure button and TNT everywhere... I think level 2-3?
Anyway, I beat it twice and then got frustrated. To get the crate out of the way I tied a rope to it and then just dragged it. Next I used a crane, which was a little tricky since it's such a large vehicle. My final solution -- and this I thought was genius -- I ran Maxwell to the other side of the screen. I then summoned a black hole and sucked up the crate!
Using three different things to dig was easy. Shovel, spade and hoe.
The hard part was falling down to get the star without setting off the TNT. First time I used my trusty wings. Second time I used a hoverboard (I can't believe it worked, I thought for sure it'd be copyrighted but, nope! there's a hoverboard!)
For the life of me I couldn't get a third solution, though. *shakes fist* I'll have to go back and experiment later I guess.
I'm really enjoying this game. I think the 3-in-a-row, no-repeats challenge really adds a new element to it. It forces you to not always use your same objects, although I will admit that I use Pegasus on nearly every single level.
>__> but that's just because the pegasus is awesome.

XD I use Pegasus too much as well.
I should try to do golds as well. Maybe I will. I'm miffed at RFF at the moment (NOT ANOTHER FUGGIN' TORNADO!! ... should I cheat or just let it deal its damage?)
If there's a hoverboard, I wonder if there's a hoverbike?
Also, I noticed a bit of a glitch last night that I wonder if it could effect things. I haven't tested it out completely but for one stage I was trying to gold star I typed in "large rope" since I had already used rope to see if wouldn't give me something a little different. Not only did it take that but the rope still looked pretty much the same.
This could make things too easy though and I will avoid doing it in the future.
