"Replay" value only applies if we're talking true replay... Katamari Damacy, for example, whereas something like "replay Harvest Moon to marry the other girl!" or "Replay Dead Rising to do all the stuff you couldn't before!" just seems a little cheap to me. Ocarina of Time, for example, is a game that I replay, but I wouldn't say it is built with re-play value. I play fucking Earthbound like twice a year but I wouldn't say the selling point is that it has replay value, therefore the initial run needs to have some length to it. Katamari Damacy, however, has extreme replay value because it is easily broken into replaying your favorite levels for high scores, or just for fun.
Tetris has extreme replay value. Who wouldn't play some Tetris?

KKINO I FUKKIN LOVE YOU MAN
Dead Rising has multiple endings so uh ... I'd consider that pretty true replay value there. Unless you get the A ending outright. The gameplay itself though isn't that interesting in my opinion ... well, barring the psychopaths but that's because they're crazy. KILLER CLOWN WITH CHAINSAWS OFUCK.
Uncharted 2 is broken into chapters so it may boil down to my "replay" merely being replaying the fun parts on Crushing (like, the train sequence). That or going through the entire game to get all the treasures (fuck 100? fuck!). The relative shortness and chapters helps it a lot for replay too. We'll see how much I care for redoing some of the platforming outside the Nepal section.
And to jump on the sucking of Naughty Dog's dick / kissing massive ass for a bit, if nothing else, Uncharted 1 and 2 are perfect examples of having PERSONALITY in a shooter. Drake, Elena, Chloe, and Sully are all rather interesting and distinct characters that isn't "rar KILL SHIT" stuff. Helps a lot that their voice actors were all allowed to pretty much go off script whenever they wanted and interject things for humor/personality. That and they aren't marines or MACHOTOUGHGUYwhoissecretlyohsogay.
For me, replaying comes down to it being entertaining, which is why shooters are what I tend to replay most. I have most stories of games somewhat memorized so replaying them to resee things is pointless since I remember it (and, if I don't, I suppose there's the Internet). That's the reason behind why I loved FFT/Disgaea/SRPGs in general; my replays were usually challenges, for example. I can't replay most RPGs since, to be honest, they're not "WHOAMG EXCITING" gaming but a challenge play makes me think and is fun; likewise, a shooter is entertaining to play so I can sit down and sink an hour or so doing that.
Or any game with a scoring mechanism that makes me go "FUCK MUST DO THIS BETTER" and spiral into depression, drinking, and eventual suicide. Or something like that.
And no, I don't quite care for Tetris. So ... yeah.
