I am almost through Platinum, first Pokemon I have every played. It is REALLY pissing me off that I have to play through the entire story, do a ton of extra crap, and then dance a little jig before I can even access the real game (wi-fi battles).

if Platinum is the first pokemon game you have ever played, I may have to revoke your rights to live
also I enjoyed running through the story and catching pokmans and getting past obstacles infinitely more fun than battling in the tower or online or anything

Well it is my first Pokemon. I must say however, that playing it has made me eat a lot of bad (ignorant) things I have said about Pokemon. It is an exceptionally well crafted game with deep gameplay elements that honestly suprised me. Be that as it may, as a newcomer to the series I would really like to be able to participate in the multiplayer aspect of the game without being required to put 30+ hours into the game beforehand. I'm at the very end of the game now and one day i'll pick it up and finish it so I can move on with my life and stop bitch'n. Until then it'll be like a small thorn in my side. {shake fist at Pokemon Platinum}

I haven't played Platinum since I beat the Elite Four.
I'm such a solo gameplayer than any sort of battling just goes right over my head.
Looking forward to the DS remakes of the generations I skipped >__>

"Catch Pokemon Fill your Dex" was never much of a GET UP AND GO gameplay mechanism for me. Like I get that's the point of the game, but I have no chance whatsoever of catching all 498 of the fuckers so why bother?
And I played Platinum for like 3 months. I'm so sick of it.

Quick Game Reviews:
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2
Like twice as good as the first FFTA. I feel it has many flaws that make it a total time vampire. Flaws that you can't get around, even if you don't want 100% completion. You seriously do not need to tell me how to sort items or place units after I've done it like 500 times. Another thing is if something isn't a part of the battle, don't make me have to wait for them to wait their turn. Story is actually pretty good. I wish it had an early, better climax though. If I were to be rating this game, I'd probably like dock it 3 points on a scale of 10 just for lacking proper touch control and the poor use of the top screen. I don't care if this was meant for GBA. I'd rather have had them just reuse resources and rebuild.
PROTOTYPE
The only good part of this game is the mobility. Like most 3rd person action games the combat is poor, the story is garbage, it suffers from entry level design errors and overall it feels like the entire budget was spent on said mobility aspect.
Halo 3 ODST
More bad writing and playing as the Rookie = a whole lot of nothing. The story is so bad and it looks like the character animation is the same people who did the X-Box Avatars. So wonky and awkward. If you have Halo 3, don't spend more than like $10 on this. If you don't and the multiplayer is your thing, go ahead pick it up.
Any version of Meteos besides the original DS version.
Don't touch this. Meteos and touch control walk hand in hand. In this case Meteos' arms were butched off and she was then beaten to death with her own limbs.
Wii Fit Plus
Well this isn't really a game but... the new activities and features are worth much more than the price of upgrading. Getting MET scores (average calories burnt) is really cool... as is getting to set up my own routine. Said routine thing is one of the two noticable flaws. You can only set one. You can't say, have different routines for different times of the week. It's also no fun that you can only put Yoga and Strength Training into user routines. The other flaw is you have to change your region settings to change the measuring system. Well, I should get used to Kilograms anyway!
Team Fortress 2 (X-Box)
Don't. I can't wait until I can run this on the platform it was designed for. I also tried Left 4 Dead on X-Box. I don't like it on either system but then again I'm not much of a shooter.
Castlevania Judgment
This game is still horrible.

Gee. My play-through took me nearly 60 hours, but at least 12 of those hours were the two or three different times I passed out playing it in bed and woke up with my DS still open in front of me.
Although I did do some of the extra stuff and used a well-rounded party, including leveling some really low-level pokemon up to snuff.
I wish you could have multiple save files on Pokemon games, though.
