I still hate the "THE PRINCESS MUST ESCAPE" puzzles from Layton. Well, pretty much any "move blocks to go from point A to point B" puzzles as it isn't my strong point
Anyway, beat Uncharted 2 (Hard) so time for the Crushing+100% playthrough when I have time. Damn you life!

I didn't mind those puzzles so much. You could play with it until you got it right.
The ones with L-shaped blocks.... ffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Slight-ish spoiler?
I fucking HATE the "jump over the balls and leave only one" puzzles.

^_^ Those puzzles take me a moment but I don't mind them so much.
I kinda blame my childhood for this one. There was a game on the computer that was like "trap the cat" or something like that. I can't remember what all, but it was a mouse and a cat and you had to save the mouse (or was it feed the cat?). Either way, the whole idea was so Tom-And-Jerry that I fell in love with it and played it over and over and over again. I can normally do those sorts of puzzles well, not in my sleep, but without TOO much difficulty. Either that or I don't mind sitting there until I've figured it out.
---
That camera and case puzzle has me pissed off. I got that I the case = $10 though logic tells me it's not and I cheated and it's not, but I dunno what the fuck I was doing wrong in my math equations. T-T *sniffles*
Maybe I should just go on and forget about it. Damn hints weren't much helpful, either. But it just bugs me when I can't figure out the WHY of the puzzle. >_<

If I remember right:
Camera + Case = 310
Camera - Case = 300
100 - Case = Change
Camera = X
Case = Y
Change = Z
X + Y = 310
X - Y = 300
100 - Y = Z
Add the first two:
X + Y + X - Y = 310 + 300
2X = 610
X = 305
Substitute back into the first:
305 + Y = 310
Y = 310 - 305
Y = 5
Finally, substitute into the last:
100 - 5 = Z
Z = 95
Camera = $305
Case = $5
Change = $95
Incidentally, I want to live in this magical tax-free world. Well, maybe not if they're giving me a shitty $5 case for a $305 camera.
There's a much easier way, and it's called logic:
The camera must cost $300 more than the cost of the case.
Therefore the cost of the camera cannot be $300, because otherwise the difference in price between the camera and case would only be $290. ($300 - $10 = $290)
The only total that works is $5 for the case and $305 for the camera, which is a difference of exactly $300. $5 plus $305 = $310.
At least, that's how I solved it.

More or less, you can ignore the $300.
That is, once you know that one has to be $300 greater than the other, the only part that matters is the remaining $10. Due to them being different by $300 exactly, you know the one's digit has to be the same as well as add up to $10 ... which only $5 works (either through "dur 5+5 is 10" or actually just dividing 10 by 2).
It's the same as the mathing it out just skipping out the equations and thinking that thought process out.
Math makes my brain bleed, so, yeah. Thinking it through worked better.
Played Lux-Pain more last night. Now about 90 minutes into it. I'm spotting some translation errors, but nothing major.
So far it's enjoyable. No tutorial on how to play the thing, which is sonice, but it took me a minute to figure out some minor things like how to save and how to bring up conversation topics. You just get dropped right into the action and plot, with there being an encyclopedia for you to look up key words and people. Man. Really loving the lack of tutorial, though, because I fucking hate that shit. It's not a very complex game to play, either, everything's pretty self-explanatory.
Liking it so far. I'm interested to see where it is going to go.

Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey, no surprises there. I'm stuck fighting a boss that regularly casts diarahan to completely restore her own health on a regular basis. I can't seem to do enough damage to kill her before she gets a chance to cast it, and I even have Majin Alice with jihad.
