I nearly talked myself out of it, but I'm glad I stuck it through and gave it a chance.
One caveat, however, is that since I always play my DS with the volume turned off I can't make any judgments as to the voice acting quality. Not sure if that'd effect your opinion of it or not.
What'd the best buy person say about it? I've been keeping the negative reviews I've heard in mind and looking for counters to that -- lots of reviewers complained about how you don't do anything. Sigma, the mini-game sort of thing where you scratch away at their psyche to undercover psychologically repressed memories and emotions, pops up much more frequently than I thought. Some of them have come down to the wire -- there's a timer and you can only scratch so much before their psyche overloads and you game over (which I did once on accident). As you level up you gain longer time limits and scratch ability.
