Played quite a bit of FF IV, but got stuck at the Sylph Cave without a FAQ. Back home now, so I can move on.
I've been trying out the updated Dofus 2.0. It looks nicer, but plays a little sluggish now. I've kinda reached the limit for F2P, so now I'm facing the question of whether to subscribe or not. I've played the game before, to a 90ish level with two characters, so I already know largely what'll be there. It would just look a little different, have different bugs, and be a little harder because this server is very new (the one I was on before had existed for quite a while, so had a stable economy and a broad mix of characters and levels). It's not too expensive to subscribe for a month or three, but I'm a little scared that it'll suck up vast amounts of time again.

SSB64 finally hit North American virtual consoles. Been playing it for about an hour now and it seems to be better than ever. Controls on the GameCube controller work the same as they always have, which is nice. Things run smoother on the more powerful hardware.

in SSB64, Captain Falcon says "FALCON PUNCH" like his body is about to explode
it sounds more intense than the falcone! paunch! we got later

Played the 360 Bayonetta demo last night. As bananas as expected. I'm no judge of DMC-like action games on a gameplay tech level, but it is particularily frantic and has wonderful art direction.
Unfortunately I am a cheapskate and have my 360 hooked up to an old 19" CRT - it's baby-skin smooth, and set to a silly high resolution so that it can fit a full widescreen 720p image on it. The upshot: due to the letterboxing and zoomed out nature of the game, she's mostly a teeny tiny sexy witch (like 3cm high) :squints: XD

Ness's down aerial attack is ridiculous. My poor friend was falling prey to 0%-death combos the entire time I was using that character. I also did a few inescapable Falcon Punch combos just for noodles. <3
And I prefer the SSB64 Falcon Punch voice clip. Sounds like he is trying to contain an explosion.

Best score so far has been level 8 with 11432 points. Gets really hard when they take away the country borders...
