I finished Suikoden Tierkreis last night (with all 108 characters recruited). Afterwards I went back and replayed a little to see the (very short) bad ending, just so I could tag it as Completed over at . Overall, I'd say this is a very good DS game, but it would have been much better if the characters' genders had been more balanced. Only 27% of the playable main (story) characters are women, and despite some exceptions, many female characters are weak mages/archers or support characters.
I really should get started on Pokémon Platina. I've had this game lying around for over a year now and still haven't watched more than a few opening screens. Hmm, maybe I'll get back into Japanese by watching some anime. I haven't watched any in a month, and have been reading/hearing mostly English lately.
Did y'all see the new Ragnarok DS ? I've been interested in RO for a while, but can't play it on Linux (yes, I know about Wine, but that's still Windows), so the DS game would be a nice way to join in the fun a little. Pity that the main character is once again male

Can you actually learn Japanese by watching anime?
I'm playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, still. I think I'm addicted. But this weekend I might pick up a copy of Dragon Quest VI for the DS. I know some people think it's one of the weaker Dragon Quest titles, but it was always one of my favorites.

Ah, but I'm not a perfectionist (my interest is in exploring and quests), and I don't do PvP, so it wouldn't matter that I don't have top equipment, right?
Not that it matters anyway, because I can't play RO without installing M$ software, which I will not do.
Also, Bejeweled Twist doesn't feel like a proper Bejeweled to me. Bejeweled 2 took a little to get used to, but is actually an improvement over the original. Twist not so much. It has too many random obstacles to fun gameplay, and rotating gems instead of swapping them makes it not a real Bejeweled game IMO. Thumbs down for me.
Now hurry up and release Bejeweled 2 for DS, PopCap.

I love the atmosphere in RO.
Almost every area in the game has a very fitting song to accompany it, too <3
As for RO DS, I enjoyed partying with my brother in the Jap version, but he wasn't all too interested in playing for very long because it was in Japanese. However, he's played RO with me since 2003, so it wasn't too hard for him to guess what certain things were.
Soo... I'm probably gonna end up getting two copies, and it's perfect as he doesn't know about it's localization and it's release is within a week of his birthday

Awwww RO, I played it a lot (on private *cough* servers *cough*) with like the 90% of the classes (mainly wizard/stalker/clown/soul linker) but now I don't play anymore cause of lamers/privates shutdown/lack of a guild (everywhere) °-°
I remember good old mvp hunting or stupid events with my guilds <3 also WOEs <3 the memories.
Some days ago I restarted playing Magic: The Gathering, more or less.

Been playing Mass [s]Erect[/s]Effect 2 for the past week. Still not finished since I've had a lack of playing time available but whatever. Gameplay mechanic changes are neat, I like Miranda (Yvonne Strahovski / Sarah Walker of Chuck) and ...
Tali returning (and as a Male Shepard romance option) is very nice. Tali's romance seems much more sweet than Miranda's too. Jack scares me a little to fuck (I like tattoos and all but what the fuck that's excessive). Anyway, Tali as an ally isn't so great though. Poor weapons (here's a fucking trend; if they have a Shotgun it's weep) but she's a monster at stripping Shields I suppose. AI Hacking I don't find too useful either. A shame, I suppose. Maybe I should lose my Sniper-support mindset.
Garrus returning and the whole Archangel mission was awesome to hear how badass he was. Seriously, pissed off three gangs on Omega and holds them off for a whole day with a SNIPER RIFLE only? And takes out a GUNSHIP with said rifle? wut? Skillz my friend, skillz. Also, his loyalty mission was quite nice and, for my Paragon play, was my only real Renegade option.
Grunt sucks. At least on Insanity difficulty. Shotguns are lousy this time and close-range combat not that useful. Oh well. I miss Wrex
Miranda ... I dunno. She's useful (Warp and Overload; Slam is a great CC) but her weapon options aren't that great (well, Pistol and SMG are probably the best non-AR/Sniper options). Her passive of +Team Weapon Damage is amazing though. Plus, she's my romance option this playthrough so I feel compelled to use her.
Thane is fucking awesome; both as a character and in combat. Snipers are awesome and he DEFAULTS TO IT (weapons keep switching when I reload makes me sad) which cuts down fucking tedium. Warp is always nice but Shredder Ammo (+% Damage to Health) feels wasted on a Sniper.
Jacob ... ... ... well, yeah. Bad weapons (Pistol, Shotgun) and his powers aren't that great (I mean, Pull is awesome but Biotics only affecting Health; Barrier is nice though). Just kind of underwhelming.
Jack ... ugh. So much potential win (and Warp Ammo sounds awesome) but fuck. Pure Biotics when Biotic abilities only work on Health? Barrier/Armor/Shield is what makes enemies hard. Health is irrelevant really. Oh well. Doesn't help that her big weapon is a fucking Shotgun which sucks in this game.
Mordin ... more or less see Tali but better at Armor with Incinerate instead of Overload. Cryo and Neural kind of suck though so ... I'd rather use Tali (plus she's cuter~).
Zaeed (DLC) is wtf. AR + Sniper with anti-Shield Ammo and anti-armor AoE Special (with Fire effect so humans at just Health are stunned?). Ugh. Old man is awesome and I feel dirty using him.
Samsara I haven't used much of so I'll refrain from comment. She seems like she'd be awesome though and Reave sounds disgustingly useful (double-Shield/Armor damage, hits Health and it'll act as a Lifetap + Health boost?).
Playing as a Soldier on Insanity so that skews things a bit since I like Sniper support for my AR usage. Adrenaline Rush helps when I get fucked to get back to cover / kill something at close range (thx slowdown effect) and have Slam as my Loyalty power so anything at Health range gets Slam-locked.
Story definitely feels like the middle game of a trilogy. No big surprises thus far (two missions left, I think) and it just seems to be moving things into play for the finale. Not a problem, really, but just worth noting.
Female Renegade Shepard (Jennifer Hale as VA ftw) for next playthrough. Probably Infiltrator (Snipe h4x) or Sentinel (Tech Armor + AR). Will try to not use the people I did before (sry Miranda?) for that run.
Today my eldest reminded me of why I hate the general bulk of X-Box users. We were playing Borderlands and he just insisted on getting an achievement for winning an arena battle. Well, since you should achieve this, I decided to fight back. Then he raged and raged and raged because I kept killing him and he could not even beat me when I stopped firing. After having to stand completely still (and shoot at him so he knows where I am), he finally got enough kills to end the slow process. Then we go outside to see our vehicle is gone.
How weak.
I do not mind that people care for achievements and whatnot. It is just when they get others involved. Especially when he mentions it is to boost his gamerscore. More e-peen waggling will ensue next time he compares with a friend. One of the many reasons why I loathe X-Box Live.
