Maxine - The Treasure Map quest for Neowmin is one of those background/repeatable ones. It just means you can give any treasure map items you come across to her. They're rare and don't serve any other purpose anyway.
As for the random maps, don't worry about completing them all right now. Only about half (2/3?) of the 78 maps are used randomly in the various dungeons. The rest are unique to the central parts of the dungeons. So you'll come across those maps you missed again quite a few times before the end of the game.
Oh, and the locked doors can't be opened until much later I think. They're part of the main quest line anyway, so patience, young grasshopper.

^_^ I figured it was like that with the locked doors. I wasn't going to stress too much.
:3 I'm just having fun taking this game as I like and seeing how far I can get with things and such. ^_^ I'm liking my Wizard more and more, too, as I go along.
<3 This game has met my expectations and more. Awww, feels good to play a game I've waited so long to play.

I'm glad you like it too
Now let's all convince Atlus to bring over Class Of Heroes II as well.

* Postal 2 [PC]
^ Using cats as silencers and getting Gary Coleman's autograph XD
* Subterranean Animism [PC]
^ Got to stage 6 with FIVE lives (four more than usual), and died at Utsuho, as the button I use for focus mode broke mid-battle =(
Looks like I'm off to ebay to find another USB Saturn pad.
(Also, the fact that the wires were fraying may have had some part in it XD)

I have never played with anything other than a keyboard
I couldn't imagine playing with a joystick....and focus/shoot/bomb are nicely placed at shift/z/x on the keyboard

A joystick can be quite awesome for some games. The ones that don't need a ton of buttons mostly.
On the other hand, a keyboard can be more comfy than a console's controller, as you can place one finger on each of several buttons instead of using only two thumbs and fingers for all of them.
I never got into using a mouse to aim (in FPSs), so I don't really know what that's like. A mouse is much better though for Breakout type games than buttons, a knob or a pen.
So, some inputs work better for some games than others.
