So I started up Platinum.

It hit me that, when I first played through Pearl, I hadn't beaten a pokemon game since Yellow. Only then did I sit down with Emerald and Crystal. I didn't really understand the ins and outs of pokemon (besides rock paper scissors) until generation 4. Thinking back at my first hall of fame team since gen 1 made me smile. Gardevoir, Steelix, Palkia, Crobat, Torterra, Rapidash. Thanks, guys.

Since we got a mega-switcher on the TV and were able to hook up all our systems, I'm replaying me some Earthbound. Glorious, glorious Earthbound.

My husband's encouraging me to do the T-rex Bat challenge, which is a tedious time-sink that I've always given up on around the $200 mark. It basically involves running around Winters bashing the fuck out of crows and dogs to sell the item drops (cookies and breadrolls). A cookie is $3 and a breadroll is $6. Do this long enough and you can buy the $698 T-rex Bat and bring it to Threed for Ness to use. It isn't that super useful since you'll reach Winters with Ness's ATM card after Threed anyway, but it does give you a slight boost and the bragging rights of being a tedious loser.

Watch cool impressive footage of Guild Wars 2 that is genuinely innovating->find out it's point and click-> lose interest immediately. More accurately: it uses a standard computer keyboard movement system, but still uses targeting for everything. Totally lame.

Currently addicted to Patapon 2 after borrowing some money from family :3 (ok... ok... I nagged them to death)

From what I've seen, Patapon is supposed to be genius.

Also, yesterday, I watched some footage from Portal 2.
Since I'm mostly a console-hater, my hype level went from zero to 9001 at once.
Seriously? It's even more brilliant than its predecessor.

...not entirely sure it was worth the trouble, but, there you have it. Moving swiftly into the Threed/Saturn Valley portion of the game. Good times.

Someday I'll, you know, play other games. I could seriously play nothing but Earthbound and be content in life.
