I don't think she was SO totally different. Obviously, if the two were friends, and since you can never fully act like someone 100%, we probably saw some of her personality. I just don't think she was as "happy go lucky" as she seemed at the beginning. Honestly, her talks of her cat-doll and probably her frustration-speeches at Neku (AND the scene where she depants him *squee*) and then the final day, were probably the times we saw her true personality.

I think I would totally love Shiki's true form still.
XD I've been playing it for the last three days. I'm working on getting the reports and the secret ending (which I've somehow SO FAR managed to not spoil for myself). *Looks over at her open DS with "Long Dream" playing in the menu* I really do love these song tracks, though. I still don't think I love them enough to get a soundtrack of download them, but, I still really enjoy listening to them.

Cash is so easy to max out ... and, also, so easy to spend.

:(

My only problem with it is due to the "post-game".
Or, rather, due to Another Day being terrible awful and I don't want to play through that again when I need to us AD. God, why did I decide to do that so early.
Shiki
I suppose; I'm really basing too much of it on how she just "looks" like a totally shy character and that's probably horribly wrong of me (but, hey, it's a game and a stereotype she fits oh so well in a game otherwise filled with stereotypical characters!)

The way I viewed it was that, as the Week went by, she became more of the persona she presented as opposed to however she was normally; sort of a merge of Eri with herself ... fitting, I suppose. Much like how each Week impacts Neku.
The talk of Rhythm games elsewhere has me to ask ... what the hell is this Taiko no Tatsujin damn it. I suck at Ouendan though (but totally awesome at [plastic] Guitar Hero so what the fuck).

I too am having a problem with money :\ .... *sigh*

But, I also don't really mind having to fight tons of battles to get it. I love the system's battling so, I'm not complaining too loudly.

Hm, I sort of suck at using the top screen, so if I don't use it, am I going to get screwed over later on? =\

And there's a secret ending? How do you get it? o-o

The secret ending requires all the Secret Reports, which are backstory things you can get AFTER beating the game. Also, there's Another Day which is a "What if..." scenario of TWEWY that is pretty funny but how "fun" depends on how much you like TIN PIN SLAAAAAAAAAMMMMER!!!

The only "hard" part of not using the top screen are enemies that require you to have the Puck to do damage so you'll want to be able to pass it back and forth really fast ... though you can just lower the difficulty and not care.

Speaking of Squeenix RPGs, have y'all seen this Sigma Harmonics trailer yet? It's totally droolworthy. Can't wait to check out this game :o

I'm still wondering why the DKΣ3713 event didn't have Sigma Harmonics despite it being in the name (Σ). Or maybe I just missed something. And yet, despite knowing practically nothing about it ... I'm so totally intrigued by the game. I'll probably give the Japanese one a try to only end up confused and spending 90% of my time translating it so I know what the hell is going on :(

Edit: Totally reminded me of another awesome DS game coming out. If you liked the other text-heavy Adventure games for the DS (Phoenix Wright, Hotel Dusk), Time Hollow releases in September in the US.

Basically, the MC (Ethan I think is his English name; Horou in Japan) wakes up to find that his parents have mysteriously vanished--worse yet, they've been "gone" for 12 years!

The "gimmick!" to the game is a pen that allows him to more-or-less bend time (or, rather, to connect the "past" to the "present."). I didn't get very far in the Japanese version due to not wanting to spend hours translating to get anywhere in the game but I absolutely love the Phoenix Wright games (as well as Hotel Dusk!) so ... yeah.
