and led up to what is probably my favorite final boss battle in anything I've ever played

Hi-Rez Studios, the makers of Global Agenda, bought the Tribes franchise. The two were really quite alike, so it's kind of neat to see this happening so soon. Right now they are moving to a larger studio and doubling up staff size to make a Tribes game to allow for 64vs64 player battles (something they could not do with Global Agenda). I'm not a shooter fan but I have always respected Tribes. Since loyalist are getting beta/alpha keys anyway, it cannot hurt to try when it's available. It is nice to see them reviving a shooter that is actually interesting.

Anyway
I picked up EO2 again, here are some challenges i'm imposing on myself:
Don't draw anything on the map, except for the Floor 1 Quest
ERRATA: This will have to be revised, I don't remember if I can disable Automapping, I think I can?
Axcelas are forbidden except for the [spoiler]Ur-Child[/spoiler] fight
During grinding, Divinity is not allowed
I must defeat every single FOE I see on the map, without question, even if I have to grind to do so
I must try and get the rare drop of each unique FOE I see, meaning to say, if I got the rare drop of an FOE which appears multiple times, I only have to get it once. Also, this doesn't apply to FOEs that don't have a rare drop.
I must try and get the rare drop of any bosses if they have one
Muckdile must be defeated in less than 15 turns.

I still have yet to beat [hide]Ur-Child[/hide] in a decent way. I spammed Axcela IIs with Revenge. You know the rest... I still feel bad about it. I'll get 'em eventually!
Anyway, games I'm currently playing:

Magi-Nation(GBC) Started a file, bringing back memories. Pretty fun.
