See, the ipod touch is brilliant, it does a shitload of cool stuff, and useful stuff. The best part is that it's portable. They took all that, and made it not portable. Might as well get a laptop, the ipad is just a money-making gimmick.

edit: plus, you know, it's from apple.

I don't much like the iPad but ... it wasn't meant to be an iPod replacement so who cares about the portability. It's a good device that does what was intended. Plus, the sheer fact it has a good screen size makes it tolerable for watching shit / internet browsing / etc.

As long as it has access to the Apple app store, it'll be amazing.

Edit:

Ended up grabbing both Ys titles since Amazon's B1G1 50% worked for them. I really should get around to playing them myself since I've had my copies for awhile.

I've gotten Oath of Felghana on my Christmas list. xD

And I found my copy of Guity Gear Accent Core... Problem: I remembered I broke almost all my controllers playing it.

The iPad does a good job of fitting between the iPod Touch and a laptop, and it's a lot more portable than you think. It's like carrying a light, thin book around.

And the big screen basically means everything cool about the iPod Touch is even COOLER unless you just want an e-reader that fits in your pocket or something

I'm surprised it hasn't gone down in price at other retailers yet. However, that is a pretty sweet price.

anyway:
