* Bare Knuckle [Sega MegaDrive]
- was watching something on tv (while playing MHP3) about the Bank of America heist/shootout in LA, and suddenly developed a need to play through the game XD
- I'm using the Jap title for a good reason actually:
My modded Sega Genesis (which some of you may or may not know of) still had it's NTSC-U/J switch set to NTSC-J when I turned on the game. So when the intro started playing, I was greeted by a mass of vertically scrolling Hiragana and Katakana, and soon after by the "Bare Knuckle" logo at the title screen XD
Even though I only have the American version "Streets of Rage", it turns out that the cartridge detects the region of the system and changes the contents accordingly. Meaning that the original Japanese version is still on the cartridge alongside the US version, lol (or at least the JP text and image files).

Ok, first two things are agreeing with me, so. And, yeah, it pissed me off to with them picking up things out of their budget range. Arma is big for doing this to me which is why I have a fucking hard time with her. I'M NOT GOING TO SELL IT TO YOU AT 70% JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T GET THE CONCEPT OF PIX!! GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY STORE!!
@230% and more .... o_O I never went up that high! So, yeah, never hit those Near Pin values. I thing I've only once ever dared to do a 200% but got miffed when the guy was like "can't you go lower..." so I never did it again. Still, again it comes down to: "what's the point?" Why risk that? I never went up that high and I easily had around 2mil by the end of the game before the final payment. It's great and awesome that you CAN do that, but I see very little benefit in it.
Oh I didn't say to not put a variety into the vending machine - just that those are the items that don't sell well enough for me via Recette, so I stick them into the machine for a higher chance that they will sell. Yeah, though, if you look at my game there's times I even stick a few red items in. ^_^;
You think decorative items are good to have in the machine? I dunno. :\ I once put something in the machine and it sat in there for a whole week. Guess I was unlucky.
@More money on blue items - GAH! I fudged when typing that out. Sorry x_x; No, you're right. 20-45% is what those values should be. My apologies.
Hrrrrm as for the Treasures vs Food, I can never sell Treasures well enough. But I know that especially in the beginning of the game when I was learning I would put that Bowl thing in the window and I would get a huge surge of customers. Treasures I normally only sale for outstanding orders or when it's asked for specifically.
And, yes, of course don't stick too hard to the same stuff - I said that in the post ^_^ so that part was covered and is a given. I also just know it's really bad when food crashes because 3/5 times customers try to sale you a food item. >_<
Oh, by the way Scy, maybe you could fetch some info on this for me. One day I was showing the game to my sis. I was showing her how the Store Atmosphere works and how close to get it to the middle. I opened the store after getting it exactly on and suddenly o_o I GET NOTHING BUT WOMEN!! Something about "HOUSEWIVES SEARCH FOR THE RARE ITEM" or something like that - all they did, every single one of them was ask "for the rare item" (or special or something) which turned out to be that they would take ANYTHING that was marked red. .....What did I do to trigger this and are there other similar events or something like this? XD It was so fucking funny and just RANDOM. It was the last part of the day, too, I believe.

Basically, the "Red" prices are about double what they would be normally and "Blue" prices are about half what they would normally be. It's not a risky venture at 206% for Red items so why not. It was just the value I choice when I played (basically, tack on an extra MSRP) and it's basically how they work.
As for that scenario ... it's random as far as I know for things like that. I got a similar one (notably with housewives as well) that were head-over-heels for Treasures. And the price of Gold had soared. Pulled close to a million in a single day.

Erm ... you get the Emerald back in the [hide]WHY IS THERE A VOLCANO DOWN HERE[/hide]. It's the room right before the mini-boss fight.
That said, I don't think you need to charge any to get through the mines, just some jumps from higher levels and float down.
Edit: Incidentally, there's an item you can get that basically trivializes the mine segment since it lets you actually see. [hide]It's the necklace for the old lady back in town.[/hide]
