Yeah, it was Feros. That was easily the coolest mission of Mass Effect without DLCs. XD
My main problem with ME comes with dealing with the Rachni Queen. there is NO WAY that either of the options can be Paragon or Renegade. XD You have to give some points to both, if you think about it. Releasing the Queen would be the less smart idea, while killing it is the more "lawful good" thing to do. XD

Really? I mean looking at the boss you just fought, you know that Indoctrination can lead to being on the Reaper's side, and the queen actually bothered to talk to you. And in the sequel, it went on to help a Asari at one point. Then the Turian bitches about your choice either way. Then again, I haven't played ME in a while, mostly because I tend to do all of the sidequests, and they're all the same, bland, Mako on mountainous terrain missions.
When you're alone, always remember:
They really just can't nail what makes sidequests fun.
Hint: Bland environments with samey-cut-and-paste interiors and the abysmal vehicle controls aren't them. Sidequests make more sense when they're either full-out story arcs with their own environments that could've been a "real" storyline or are shit-to-do while on those "real" storylines.
I still did every last one of them.
I started playing Dark Spire. I'm having fun with it so far. One thing that's interesting about it is how although it and Etrian Odyssey are obviously both tributes to the old Wizardry-ish dungeon crawler genre, they've chosen to focus on almost completely different aspects of it. I was half expecting Dark Spire to feel pretty similar, but it surprisingly doesn't feel like the EO series whatsoever. Which I'm personally glad for, actually. There's nothing wrong with more Etrian Odyssey of course, but after playing EO games so much over the past year or so, it's kind of refreshing to be able to play another game of the same genre that feels so different from it.
I'll say right now that I think I'll consider the EO series to be better overall, but I'm finding it hard to compare them since they're so drastically different. One thing I've got to mention though is although I'm a big fan of Yuzo Koshiro and love the music in all of the EO games, I'm surprisingly finding that I love the music in Dark Spire possibly even better so far.

I've recently gotten into the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, and I really like what I see. It is like a realistic survival horror, set in the fallout zone of Chernobyl. It is free roaming, mostly, and has a strange, gritty texture without any love or kindness in its heart. I think the highlight for me is getting mauled to death by wild dogs, and in the game over scene, which is -not- a cutscene, watching one of the lone dogs from the pack drag my corpse away from the others, and eat it without being bothered by the others.
Beautiful.
Beautiful.
