Legend of the Relics: Goddesses of Destiny is the English title used by the fanlation site -

I highly recommend it. The remake is excellent, and the translation patch is quite good too.

The remake added a LOT to this game. Muses and their mechanics alone make for a whole new gaming experience, let alone the adaptations made to the different character types.

Yeah, I've enjoyed it. I reached a point where the translation reverts back to Japanese, and have had to follow a FAQ to get anywhere, which has inhibited my progress. I really wish it had gotten an English port.

Actually, they wiped me out if I recall without using any nifty special attack, plus I wasn't doing much damage. It really did feel like a "you are underleveled and underequipped" moment, not a "you need strategy" moment. Haven't played in a while so I might be mistaken but that's the feeling I remember getting.

Are we talking about a different boss? <_<; The one I'm fighting are two pairs. Not a single enemy. Maybe not a boss, then?

I can't remember. Haven't picked the game up in a while.

We apparently are. Are you talking about the Floor 10 fight? If so, that's not such a bad fight with a Head Bind (or Anticold spam, I suppose). Ad Nihilo helps too as it'll strip the buff that makes the fight harder.

Basically, [hide]Deep Lady[/hide] can be shut down with a Head Bind, [hide]Deep One[/hide] can be shut down with an Arm Bind, and Anticold prevents the only damaging attack of the [hide]Deep Lady[/hide], though it isn't telegraphed. Alternatively, they have a base 50% status resistance (sans Curse and Sleep which are 22%, if I recall) so you can hope for a status effect to lock them down for you. Ad Nihilo strips the elemental resistance buff that makes them harder to kill.

Also, the counter stance isn't a counter.

[spoiler]Though, for the record, the actual 3rd Stratum boss is also, technically, a pair as well. At least for part of the fight, anyway.[/spoiler]
