Yeah, that's definitely the defining line right now. :[
I've also been spoiled by touch control. I simply LOVE it for RPG, puzzle and strategy games. A lot of people consider it a gimmick but I consider it progress, where as other people consider progress better sounds/graphics which is so boring for me x____o.

Yeah ... I have a lot of games (Castlevanias, Mega Mans, Lunar Knights) are at like ... 8-14 hours for my completion files >>. It's pretty fucking sad.
Also, something I totally missed ... what? When did console gaming become "almost exclusively" multiplayer? That's not even fucking close to right and makes no damn sense.
And, yes, No More Heroes is awesome.
Edit: If Touch control added anything to games then sure. I find it stupid pointless in about 90% of games. Hell, TWEWY is one of the few games it wasn't "...soooo, touch is here why?" It is one of the worst features added as far as I'm concerned ... only beaten out by fucking motion control.
Again, that's ONLY due to the fact most the games that utilize them add NOTHING to the gameplay with them. Graphics improving are more than just, "eyecandy." Sorry, it is ridiculously hard for me to look at, say, Tales of Vesperia and not find the visuals impressive. Seriously.

Zeta has a valid point. Best-selling 360 games (NOT best games, just best selling
Halo 3 (FPS/multi)
Gears of War (FPS/multi)
GTA IV
Call of Duty 4 (FPS/multi)
Forza Motorsport (multi)
BioShock (FPS)
... and then the margin of sale isn't even worth discussing (all about one million units)
Best-selling PS3 games:
MotorStorm
MSG4
Resistance: fall of Man
GTA IV

I'm not saying they aren't amazing, just that FPS/multi is was is selling the most those days. Look at the games I listed and they're mostly very recent releases, too.
I don't like this shift myself. I prefer Nintendo's route even if there is garbage along the way. Video game releases have always been at least half bullshit licensed crap/lazy developing/just plain terrible.
The market is expanding, so the crap ratio is following suite.
I don't enjoy FPS/multi games and so they aren't worth my money. Doesn't make them bad games, just not something I'm going to buy.

Yeah I realized I worded that badly. Was more of a me just saying they're good games

They're worth trying even if you don't like the genre ... but who knows.
I like the shift towards "better" games and, quite frankly, everything Nintendo is doing is absolutely terrifying to me. They're releasing garbage games, banking on "OMG INNOVATION?!", and just not giving a damn. They're downright terrible fucking games and I'm really sad that the Wii is STILL selling so well. It is such a fucking travesty to me since the games are a step back as far as I'm concerned.
Again, that's due to MY taste of games being what they are. If you like the Wii library and that stuff then I guess you're tired of where the games are going for the PS360.
Edit: Worth saying I am so ready to eat my words if the Motion+ ends up being AMAZING and makes the Wii games totally fucking awesome. That said, Nintendo NOT telling ANYONE (ie, their DEVELOPERS) that they had that coming was such a dick move ... >>
