Worth noting anything you nab for free via Playstation Plus _requires_ Plus for it to remain free so you lose access to it when the 30 days is up. Even though it was free when you downloaded it. Stupid but whatever.
So ... you don't score any free stuff from that. It does let you get a bunch of discounts though so there's that.

Grandia ReDux - Recording videos of all the boss fights from the game. You might have seen me post up a few in the videos thread even. Think I'm going to be recording the Lord's Ghost fight today for sure after grabbing everything I can from that place...plus everything I can get from Soldier's Graveyard up to the Kung Fu Master.
KFM is a royal pain in this hack. Lovely regeneration, a 3 hit combo that usually wipes someone after the 2nd hit because he's got so much freaking attack, Tornado basically owning anyone not named Rapp or Liete, oh man, the list goes on.
Did I mention he's like 99.99% of bosses in the later parts of Disc 2 with the ability to cast Vanish? SMT games didn't even have this many fights where they could do something like that and wipe all your buffs/debuffs out in one go.
Even better is the fact the majority of bosses got a health boost in the most recent patch for Disc 2. Truthfully they did need it though for those bosses that did get that health boost.
Some other bosses had their defenses bulked up or a few other things changed about them (Mostly confined to stuff in the final dungeon though).
Yeah, the later fights are gonna be...painful (Baal 2 is going to make me throw my Z-Saber in rage, calling it).
Lost Odyssey - Going to start this game over again within the next couple of days. We'll see if the first couple of bosses don't make me go mad. First boss can die in a car fire BTW.

Ouch.
I'm assuming you have an early-generation PS3?
Getting it fixed by Sony won't last very long past the end of the warranty, and costs like $200. Your best bet is to buy a brand new one for $300.
Then, what you gotta do is fix the old one yourself. If you have a heat gun alread, the stuff you need will cost like $20. It's a complicated process, and will only last a few days, so use this to transfer data. Because if you try to just put your old hard drive into the new PS3, it will be formatted.
