I too fail at rhythm games. :[

As for mutliplayer;
Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Tales of Symphonia and Custom Robo are where it's at for multiplayer gaming. Sometimes classic virtual console goodies, too. <3 The best multiplayer game I've ever played was Micro Machines 64. It's so random and unheard of but wow, I laughed until the point where I had to stop playing because I was suffocating and my eyes were burning from all the tears coming out.
