Tried the Infamous 2 demo. Pretty neat, though I think I'd prefer the first one (except for the idea of ice powers. That will be win).

New!Cole. *Shudder*
Not fond of the MUTATIONSFUELOMGZORS power explanation in the second game, either. It was kept vague ("Neuroelectricity" is just Psychic Magic Glowstuff) before.
But [hide]Kessler[/hide] was a drama queen with a silly plan from the start.
Melee was made pretty damn useful in the sequel, and snipers on destructible terrain was convenient. :3

I hated that upgrades in the first were basically "run current, new powers!" since it made no sense as to why you don't just ... do that yourself. At least adding a physical rare object to the power-up process makes a bit more sense.
[hide]Kessler's[/hide] plan really makes no sense. I'd figure you could just off [hide]the Beast[/hide] before they become relevant rather than the massive Xanatos Gambit in place.
Edit: Steam Summer sales started today. Farewell, money.
But...

Yeah, the best I could do with those generators was "now the city can support Cole's habit better, yay!"
Sort of an Antaeus / Geo-effect thing, but it still doesn't really work.
Funny (funniest?) thing about [hide]Kessler's[/hide] plan is that he [hide]gets Trish killed and decides that the best remedy is to kill Trish earlier.
Because Trish giving Cole a reason to not repeat Kessler's mistake will obviously make Cole repeat the same mistake.[/hide]
I prefer the blue power set in the first game. Red just increases firepower. Nothing wrong with that, but all the powers are "LOL when I kill one guy I kill five guys", as opposed to blue's "Fuck you, I'm Spider-Man!"

As for the second game, [hide]Ice Launch is so fucking awesome that not going Good means you hate having fun.[/hide] I never finished my Evil inFamous 2 play so I don't know how awesome later powers are but compared to Good's better mobility, I can't imagine anything matching up to that.
[spoiler]Seriously, the launcher is so awesome that everything pales in comparison to it.
Also, why the fuck can everyone with powers fly and teleport. Fuck you. I want to fly. Super jump with the launcher is sweet and all (and the spiderman web crawling is cute but on the same button as the launcher) but FLYING. Or teleporting! Shit, the regular conduits from the first area of inFamous 1 could fucking teleport.[/spoiler]

Ah, yeah, those Reaper conduits (and [hide]Kessler[/hide], for some reason) had those cool (Wind? Space-rip? What?) powers.
[spoiler]As for flying, Cole would just need a bit more output or staying-power on his glide move, so it wouldn't look out of place or anything. I guess they just really like the parkour stuff.
Edit:

Or "Firebird Strike", apparently.
Need sleep now. I accidentally stayed up an hour.[/spoiler]

In the first game, I was always thinking that whenever Cole completed a current, he had a moment of epiphany where he came up with a new ability, with a vision of that ability in use. The basic idea was, "you can manipulate electricity," and running a current was a meditative exercise on what it can do.

So, at Japan Expo yesterday there was supposed to be Graces f footage. "Technical difficulties" arose so, instead, Xillia footage was shown. Not ... really sure why they had Xillia footage on-hand, to be honest.
This is an event in Europe, for the record. And, "Do you want to see Xillia localized? If there's enough of a demand..."
JRPGs in the west, man. Who knew the most useful skillset possible to get more titles would be that of a hobo.

Probably showing what else people can expect localized IF they can show the company the series can be profitable.
It can be, and it can be liked, as Symphonia proved; it just seems like something keeps preventing it from doing so.

So, my house in Minecraft had a Skeleton in it somehow. And then as I'm climbing back up the mineshaft inside the building I created, a creeper drops down from the top. I had through I sealed the lower entrance and so I realized, "They're coming from... OH GOD."
I exit my house n a stormy night and find my next observation tower's consstruction side is infested with creepers. XD And I thought that I made the walls high enough. I'm thinking they dropped down from a higher elevation--I am in the mountains.
