Just finished Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha versus the Soulless Army. (yeah, pretty long title, lol) It's also one of the easier MegaTen games so far.

So, today I have officially retired my beloved PS2 fat model. I would LOVE to say that I got a PS3 but I'm afraid it's just been replaced with a PS2 slim model.

Aww the memories of my PS2... bought by my now deceased aunt Judy when it was $300 back in '03. The system has lasted me through two very hard moves all this time. It treated me very well and in fact some people when I tell them about it STILL have a hard time believe that the thing works after so many years.

The only thing that has now forced me to retire it? Actually, a fixable problem. *Shrugs* It's just stopped wanting to play DVDs, and old PSX games, and has a hard time loading up PS2 games. I even found a guide on the internet to fix it. It's been on my to-do list for a while.

BUT today my family dragged me out of bed to go to the local flea market. They normally go every Sunday but I usually pass it up since they go at 7am. Bah!! But I went today and found a very nice, slightly used looking PS2 slim for $40.

... It was a risk, but after looking it over, fuck, I'm not going to pass up that kind of deal. It just had a few dirt smudges on it, but the inside was clean, looks like a year old or so.

^_^ Got it home and YES it works! Awww, no more hitting the bottom of my ps2 to try to get it to load my games.

The old model is "retired" but actually Clarissa has claimed it. She's demanding the guide so I expect we are going to be attempting to fix it here soon so she can take it up to her room and have it for herself. So... no, no I guess it's not really done yet. ^_^; Retired but not dead. LOL.

Awww, I spent the day playing Persona4, a game that for some reason was exceptionally difficult to get my fat-ps2 to load up and refrained from bothering with it because of that.

Well, I'm HR 45 on MH3. XD I got full Rathlaos and a Talsmin that ves me +10 Heat Res and 2 slots...

Sirth and Scy (I think) recommended against Overforging, but with Rathalos armor, the normal version just seems so much more useful, although there are less slots. About how high should I raise its level to not get one-shotted by Alatreon? I got my chest at Max, and the rest are on their way to being overforged. >_> I just need some name +Spheres, because I got an obscene amoutn of ADV, Hard, and Heavy spheres.

... I think I was one that suggested doing that. Attack Up M>Mind's Eye, probably.

I have a Slim model too, but the reader acts like a b*tch sometimes. I should really have it fixed somehow, or get a new reader. Another problem with the Slim model is that it overheats more easily than the FAT one.

^ Tiny bit less sharpness, but 140 + 660 Dragon damage. No slot, though.

Also, I dunno, what o you guys think? People have been telling me to top using the Upgraded Guan Dao, because Alatreon's LS is a lot better. The thing is that Dragon Equipment is hard to make, and I figured just keeping that around would save some money (it was the first I could come into posession of) until I do get Alatreon's sword. I'm 1 HR away from the event quest for it, so...

I'd say keep using it until you get the better LS? Don't see a reason to stop until you build the Alatreon one. It's already upgraded, so...

Yeah, how would you replace it with one you don't have yet? :\

Dromes are a joke compared to G. Jaggi/Baggi, though, they don't even feel like boss monsters, one time I killed off a giadrome thinking it was a normal giaprey, then suddenly QUEST COMPLETE.

I'm glad Steven gave this games to IPL to cast. I missed them when they were played live on his and HuK's streams. Beautiful ZvP.
