Dragged out my old Age of Kings discs to play a little RTS.

Which means "4 hours of circlejerking around on easy mode"

Agarest War, in general, aren't bad. They pander a lot but the combat is rather interesting in them (personally). It's in the "worth a try" category, honestly, but if you're that much on the fence and would rather have your money back, I can't necessarily fault you for just returning it rather than hoping for the best.

For what it's worth, if the original Agarest War reviews turn you off from it, Zero is more of the same. It improves on things, sure, but it's still at it's core a pseudo-dating sim SRPG.

I mean seriously.

I've never completed a "perfect character" in Disgaea. I've always used a lazy, "throw spaghetti on the wall" approach. Is it possible to reach a point where One Man Army can't get its full effect on account of not having anywhere left to go?

I sure as fuck did.

800 hours in the PS2 version of HoD made sure of that XD
