I have played the games before and I will admit theme decks are very practical. However, if you actually own cards like I do, you can't have a theme deck as easily. xD However, even though my deck is multi-purpose, it's main strategy has been and still is to hold out. I have cards that return things to my deck from my graveyard to keep my deck up (you'd be surprised how quick 43 cards can run out) and give me more chances to get the only defensive monster set up I know that works in my deck:

Patrician of Darkness, Obnoxious Celtic Guard + Equip giving 500 ATK or more (usually is Wicked breaking Flamberge Baou), and Spirit Reaper.

In addition to those, I usually can set down a Swarm of Scarabs and slowly eat my way through monsters every other turn.

The premise of the play is that I have two monsters that you can't destroy in battle and you can't even battle me without me using my PoD to control which monster you attack.

Granted, there are a multitude of weaknesses to this set up, but it works even with just two of the 3 main cards needed. It's a great psychological warfare tool as well. XD I usually have 4 traps or counters set up to evade some of the common weaknesses:

Lightning Vortex
Raigeki Break
Raigeki (I didn't see i on the banned list... so, it's now a threat)
Black Hole

Anything targeting Spirit Reaper.

There was one guy who was one iof the top 20 in the US at the tournament and he was playing with a new deck. I only beat him once and that was because o the best display of this strategy ever.

Shrug. Theme decks aren't (weren't?) that great. That synergy comes (came?) at a price of versatility I tended to find not worth it unless looking for a challenge. I had better results with just tossing in a couple of smaller synergies without overspecialising.

I don't have a theme. xD I just wanna get by.

Anyways,I'm having a problem with my brick house and I'm thinking it's my fireplace. I left and I find a nice size hole in my roof. I want a wooden roof to give it that cottage feel to it. I'll take a screenshot later.

I'm also finding stuff I never noticed before. XD

Defeated my first Lunastra and Chameleos today. Is Teo as fun as Luna?

Honestly, I have never fought an Elder dragon on my first outting that could not hit me within the first 5 minutes.

Chameleos on the other hand just is annoying. Stole almost all of my potions and killed me once due to stunning me.

be careful with Chameleos, you can't get the items he steals back, so if he steals something valuable abandon immediately.

Now, I could just watch today's IPL broadcast I missed tomorrow...

Yet I have so much energy right now. I think I will just stay up and watch the entire four~ hours of it.

I have a total crush for ThorZaIN as of late, I want to see GoOdy lose to Nerchio, and SeleCT is a cutey.

Playing a bit of the Humble Indie Bundle that Kimiko gifted me. VVVVV is pretty fun and hard; Though I am getting lost since you can't jump and I wind up going across the map and miss where I'm suppose to land.

Atom Zombie Smasher is another interesting game. Evacuating Nuevos Aires, you go into various territories to well, evacuate the civilians from the hoards of zombies. Or destroy them before more show up. It's also a game of luck; Since you randomly have certain mercenaries (think countermeasures against the undead) there's a good chance of having only a limited bundle of mines and barricades to fend them off, and with the randomly generated maps, you could wind up having no choice but having half the city zombified before you can evacuate enough of them. Other than that, it's a fun game, and I kinda wished it was more expanded.

Okay okay, we want you to save these guys

But we'll give you only 4 sticks of dynamite, 2 barricades, and a sniper team. Up against a large city where half the humans are right near the zombies, and they're coming in from 5 different directions.

Also, yay, another buddy gifted me Dungeons of Dredmor, I wanted to go back to roguelikes.

@Zamisk Awesome! Hope you enjoy :)

@Rider Green I dunno, but if you make the goals low, then you can actually complete the campaign before things get too hot. :P

I played through level one, and since the game came with a free cable to connect a gameboy, I'm going to invite a friend over sometime. It seems like it would be more fun with more people, but so far I like it a lot.
