Well, at least it's all very pretty. I'm somewhat relieved that it seems more about riots and conspiracies than what random internetians made me believe. Prosthetic arms are not a "deep, ethical" issue. Fuck you. There are actual, fleshy humans - right now - who like arms but do not have arms.

Still waiting to see awesome gameplay footage, though.

I just finished The Void. I had it sitting in my collection for 3 years before I managed to muster the energy to tackle it. After sinking ~25 hours into this amazing game I feel strung out and not nearly as full of wonder as I did while playing, but really happy I experienced what I did.



The visuals, audio and game mechanics combine to make an experience unlike any other I've had while playing games. Interesting stuff. Russian and Eastern European games really can be the best out there because they are so different, and often refuse to conform to the norms of what makes games 'fun' for the average consumer. In other words, many people will hate this game.

Only one role to play, no choice there (as with all the best RPGs IMO).
A very real possibility of failure, frustration and hours wasted playing without you even realising you've already failed. This is necessary and deliberate part of the experience, not a design flaw.

But on the other hand you have a genuinely fascinating world to discover, with rules goals and mechanics you have no inkling of when you start. It's stressful, but wonderful.

Why is it that whenever White-Ra declares that he will use "special tactics", it is just him using brutally primitive yet effective strategies? Whenever he uses Warp Prisms, it is just standard play. When he just crams zealots and DTs down his opponents throat, it becomes SPESHUL TEKTICS and he wins without a contest.

It's more a joke than anything. "Speshul taktics" announced and then followed by ... two base super all-in.



Also, I've done that DT rush build before in practice games with a friend and I'm pretty sure that first DT can get out like 2 minutes earlier. Also, lollllll Artosis pylon.

Anyway, been playing Deus Ex Human Revolution since all my SC2 partners have apparently been murdered brutally. Pretty fun, though I still dislike Stealth gameplay and the min/maxer in me can't not do it the stealth way since it's so much better for the EXP gain (10 EXP to kill ... 50 EXP to stealth takedown and +500 EXP at the end of an objective if done without being noticed). :/ Oh well.

Also, fuck whomever optimized the code what the fuck is this 40 second PC load time. First patch is supposed to fix it but damn, it's pretty ridiculous.
